#Pelicans sources had always felt Hill was a high-IQ team player, good passer, brings toughness and compares to DeMarre Carroll.

This fits my take a chance to get better narrative, although 12/yr isn't quite 5-8. Still cautiously optimistic.

Solomon Hill is a guy the Pelicans have viewed as a good fit for a long time. Was a priority this month.

Dude averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds. This is a disgusting signing. Absolutely horrendous. We can't find a guy to play defense and average 4 points and 3 rebounds a game for less than 12 million a year? 12 million... Pondexter is better and makes what 3 or 4? This is a pathetic desperation move by the organization. Very very bad move.

This deal isn't even close to as bad as almost every other deal out there today. Why would someone get fired over this?

Dude also averaged less than 15 mpg playing behind one of the best SFs in the game. Can't really use per game stats to claim this a terrible signing.

not a great shooter but he can play a little D and he's young and athletic

So another Aminu when he came to the Pelicans. Great.

The production of Hill to date is apparently scaring everyone.

That guy writes for an Indy paper, I guess he isn't a fan. Like I said, we all laughed at the Aminu deal at first. There's no guarantee he'll work out, but this is the kind of risk on a player with upside they needed to take.

Oh so you're mad that we got an athletic defensive wing?

Pels Talk has been awful to sift thru today.

Fact of the matter is there are plenty of small forwards we could find from the D league that could average 4 point in 15 minutes. Even if hill got 30 min a game he wouldn't average more than 10. I thought the Asik signing was bad. This is worse. at least Asik had proven himself before he got here. What has hill done?
