#HireKarl wasn't about Karl, it was about Monty. Karl just happened to be the biggest name interested in the job at the time.

I think they should make a Gay play.

Not even reading the other posts. Should we? YES! Can we? Seriously doubt it.

i hate trades like that shite. 4 of our players for 3 of theirs. how often does that happen in any sport? rarely ever. if they want to play with the trade machine at least make it intelligent.

The Brow and The Boogie would be amazing.

Gasol and Randolph are stacking up championships.

I'm not the biggest fan of your two best players playing the 4 and the 5, but it could work if we surrounded them with good shooters and defenders.

Its all academic, because several teams can give up much better packages.

The more you look at it, the more you begin to ask the Rudy Gay should we...because that could actually be pulled off.

I'd rather Gay than Cousins, considering what we would have to give up to get Cousins, which i would assume Jrue would be a part of it.

I don't know how we work a deal for Gay, but it's an intriguing thought, imo.

Seriously, I would sacrifice the future for the next six years to get cousins and unibrow together. You’d vanquish everything.

I totally disagree with this.

There's a handful of teams in today's NBA that have a two headed monster at the 4 and 5 (Grizz, Bulls, Heat(?), and those teams have never been real contenders in that team structure.

Obviously Boogie would add a LOT of talent to this team, but we will also have to give up a lot of talent and I'd feel our cap situation would be such that we'd have to get extremely lucky in FA and the draft by picking up shooters and ball handlers who out-play their contract. We won't be able to afford above average players at the 1-3 spots in FA. No thanks. Especially not in today's NBA.

Also rarely. Typically picks, cash, and multiple teams are involved.

I am not the biggest Cousins fans, but comparing AD/Cousins to ANY other 4/5 combo and saying it doesn't work is kind of foolish IMO. Even Randolph/Gasol would pale in comparison. You are talking about an MVP candidate and the most skilled low post player in the game.

This isn't Noah and Boozer. This would be closer to KG and Shaq. I think that could have worked out fine.

I think the duo would also have some defensive versatility. If opponents go small ball late, I don't think you have to take Cousins out since he'd be fine against most PFs and AD can defend pretty much anyone adequately (besides Paul Pierce for some reason).

Yea I realize this would be a much better combo than any other in the league, but I'm just saying I'd personally rather have (in today's NBA) an elite talent in the back court and front court, then just two elite talents in the front court with a huge drop off in talent for the other 3 spots on the floor.

I'm not saying it wouldn't work. We've never seen a combo like that in the NBA in 30+ years. So maybe it could work and it'd be the perfect antidote to today's NBA strategies. On the other hand, great/elite perimeter play has been the key to the last several NBA champions. Can't disregard that.

Well, if you can get the elite guard (Harden, Curry, etc), sure let's take him instead. But I don't see those guys available. I wouldn't pass on an elite big just to hope for an elite guard to come available, because I don't see that happening any time soon.

And yes, it would be an antidote IMO. No way GS tries to go small against AD/Cousins. That would end very badly for them.

No, they would just drop bombs on us all day, because we would have no Guards/Wings.
