I do not have alot of knowledge on basketball, but I do like the Pelicans. It seems, according to this board and other people I walk to that Monty is a horrible coach. What will it take for the front office to get rid of him? He has not done anything productive with this team. Please give me back insight of a basketball mind.

Hopefully anything other than making the playoffs, with a competitive 1st round showing (winning 1-2). Even a playoff appearance with a 2009 Nuggets-like beatdown, he should be gone.

I'm a season ticket holder and no fricking way am I renewing if he's the coach next year. I'll gladly wait to renew my tickets and pay extra to see what they are going to do. It's almost like they're trying to drive fans away.

Remember that time Monty ran with a lineup of

Rivers
Salmons
Cunningham
Anderson
Ajinca

For 4 minutes to start the 4th when we're down 10.

GOAT coach of all time.

I haven't REALLY been able to cheer for this team since CP3 left. I root our guys on, I buy in, I love the excitement of winning, etc. etc. but we're on the verge of another Feb+ where we don't have anything to play FOR.another 3-4 weeks of .500 ball and we're there again. I fricking hate our fricking coach. We can't even get excited about team improvement. It's a whole season of watching singular talents. Davis makes the money sink more tolerable, but damn I hate our fricking coach. We should be on the verge of something special, thinking every year we're moving forward to the Finals. Our good wins and individual performances show that. We are playoff talent. Don't give me "fit" crap. I fricking hate our fricking coach. He's a literal waste of time and money.

ETA: by really cheering I mean cheering for implications involving any sort of postseason.

I've defended Monty this season, but it's becoming increasingly difficult. With Jrue, Davis, Asik, and even a player as athletic as Tyreke, there is no reason our defense should suck as bad as it does.

I've read last season that the Bensons have Monty's back, over Dell, which blows my mind. It's still apparent that Dell and Monty are not quite on the same page.

I wish they would give Dell a chance to choose a coach for the team he put together, because I still believe in what he's doing, and it's not a talent problem.

Simply get rid of Monty, and let Dell choose the coach, and see what happens.

You trust that dumbass who signed Eric Gordon to a max contract? Good luck! I don't care that it would have left us zilch for cp3, it was apparent from jump that guy was a waste that didn't want to be here.

Hindsight is 20/20, and nobody at the time of his signing questioned it. Although it seems like a long time ago, and it may sound crazy, but Eric Gordon use to be a really exciting player, and very few people questioned whether or not he was worth that money. Phoenix certainly thought that highly of him also.

the roster is flawed. If the wings gave the Pels any shooting it would be a different story.

Rivers development is on Monty though.

He was a known attitude problem, and the guy didn't want to be here. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out thats a bad recipe.

I don't understand how a guard (rivers) can't hit a jump shot

Kudos to you, if you knew at the exact time of his signing that it was a bad contract. Not many people did.

I remember two-three years ago, hearing a lot of people say, "We wouldn't be so bad, if Eric Gordon were healthy."
