Then there's the "we're cooked if we get off to another bad start," part.

There's also the Rondo on National TV part. Although I'm not sure if Celtic Title Run Rondo is enough against the Warriors.

Doubtful.

Our big man advantage is our only shot, imo. Davis already eats Draymond for lunch. Now they have to figure out guarding Boogie, too.

Gotta start out strong. Another 0fer start would be awful in a conference this loaded.

The last time the Pelicans defeated the Warriors (April 7, 2015) Quincy Pondexter scored 20 points. They're 0-11 since.

Why do they do this to us? Well at least there's 81 games left after that. Hope they give us some cakes after that.

I'm anxiously awaiting the schedule, hoping the Cavs and Warriors games are on weekends we're out of town so I can sell them and recoup some of my money.

Looks like I got my wish - we'll be out of town for the home opener against Golden State. Should be easy to sell.

Which would make our Oct 20 game vs the Warriors our home opener for sure.

Mother ...

I use the Warriors and the Cavs to get back a full ST worth of our 3, but I hate missing the opening game...on National TV. Could be a really big game for the team too. If they could pull off a shocker vs GSW on ESPN, that could go a long way in this season. I'm actually happy we have them early. Losing means nothing. Everyone loses to them. Winning means a lot.

Memphis away is a not bad game to start. Pels usually played well against them. Boogie destroyed Gasol lately. The distance is not a problem.

On paper does not look bad.
Also Ben Mc Lemore wont play in that game.

Agreed, Memphis is not a team that concerns me.

Boogie had a 41 point game against them as a Pel last season. Solo had one of his better slashing games against them last season. Being Memphis' home opener isn't in our favor as the crowds and teams are usually extra hyped for that, but outside of that I like the Pels' chances.

I'm excited for the start of next season. Going to Memphis gets me more hyped up than opening against someone like Orlando like we did years ago or Denver like we did last season.

A win against Memphis on the road can be an instant confidence builder.
