Never thought we had a chance at them this season to begin with...

How do I drive the tank?

Even if we lose every game from here out, we still would be somewhere in the range of 6-8. Why would we do that? To give Sac a better pick? Just play and keep getting better.

Were not officially eliminated....so there's still a chance

It is sad how hard Dell was trying to get the fricking 8th seed. Him and Gentry have failed 2 years in a row. Time to move on.

Forget the playoffs and the pick, just focus on what will help for next season. Lineups/rotations/plays/etc. I like that they've shifted Holiday to SG because it will probably be more realistic to get an upgrade of Frazier than an upgrade of Hill.

Good point. Hard to simulate real-game action, so using the remaining games to try and work on certain things is beneficial. I have confidence that the AD/Boogie tandem will work, it's just going to take a bit of time. We've seen flashes and on any given night it looks like either of them can go for about 40 pts and 20 boards.

I don't see the point in trying to work on anythign these last 8 games. Nothing they do in those 8 games will carry over to next season, except possibly an injury. They don't need these 8 games to work on flow, that's what the offseason will be for, when the team is different and has time to practice together.
Lose tonite, shut down AD, shut down Cousins, shut down Jrue for the remaining 7 games.
Play Diallo.
Play Ajinca a lot and hope he plays well enough to be an asset in a trade this offseason.
go sign another 10 day guy to close the season out.
Get ready to make some moves in the offseason and get better. They should be a sure fire playoff team next season, no excuses.

Nope---we are winning out and last game of the yr against Portland winner takes 8th. BOOK IT!

Not to derail the thread, but I am consistently confused by Boogie. I'm from Mobile, so I have kept up with him over the years and he just always looks incredibly angry. We all know he's irritable, but he doesn't even seem to enjoy playing basketball. Maybe that's just his disposition?

What about seeing Holiday at SG? I don't think they need to see any more than they've seen, but I'm glad they took a look.

Remember what happened the last time they "showcased" him? He's not a starter, he's a matchup bench big. Play him where it makes sense and he'll play like he's been playing. Well enough that a team needing a backup big will take him.

Get Quinn Cook some minutes, if they are planning to upgrade through trades I have a feeling Frazier might have to go.

That's where he needs to be. He knows it, the coaches know it. We don't need to see anymore of it. I'd rather him not get hurt.

He only needs to show that he has a pulse, and is a capable bench big, not a starter. but give him some minutes to show that. I think he can be used as an asset this offseason, not an unmoveable piece like Asik.

I agree. Ajinca, Frazier, QPon, 2nd round pick, TPE, are all pieces needing to be moved this offseason. If there's a way to get Will Barton for any of that, do it. If there's a way to get Nick Young for any of that, assuming he opts in, do it. Use Moore as a filler for the bigger trade you make. Both guys have 1 year left.
Go into the season with Jrue/Barton/Young/Crawford/FA PG and whoever you trade for as the 1 and 2's on this team.
Commit to small ball since Alroy is dead set on it. Play AD and COusins together for maybe 15 minutes a game, but always have one of them in there. Solo and DC are good small 4's. Get Bledsoe in a trade, use the MLE on Bogdonavich. You do the same thing with Bledsoe and Jrue, where maybe not play them together that much, but always have one on the floor. So you always have Jrue/AD out there and Bledsoe/Cousins for instance, surrounded by shooters.
Bledsoe/FA PG
Jrue/Barton/Young/Crawford
Solo/Bogdonavich
AD/DC/Diallo
Cousins/Asik/FA C (Withey)
It's fun to dream unrealistically.
