Sac-town's management getting roasted in Boogie's trade to the Pels

Lopsided DeMarcus Cousins deal proves Kings are worst franchise in sports
quote:
The NBA will never again veto a trade — there was far too much blowback from the last time the league did that.
But commissioner Adam Silver should seriously consider following in the bold footsteps of his predecessor, David Stern, and veto a deal involving New Orleans
quote:
Sunday’s deal only proved again that the Kings are not only the worst franchise in the NBA — that’s not even a debate anymore (and that’s incredible, considering the state of the Knicks and Bulls) — but also in all of North American professional sports
quote:
Yes, even the Browns look competent compared to the Kings right now.
quote:
But it’s impossible to believe that the Kings, even though they don’t know how to conduct themselves like a real professional basketball team, couldn’t have garnered a stronger offer from the other 28 teams in the league.

They should. This trade isn't even possible on NBA 2K17.

They vetoed the CP3 trade because the Hornets were owned by the NBA and they were trying to find a buyer to keep then in NOLA.

You don't want the pelicans to slaughter your lover LeGM?

Exactly. David Stern made that "veto" as the owner of the Pelicans, not as the head of the NBA. People who can't understand that are idiots.

Why should the league veto this trade? The Kings made a decision that they weren't committing to Cousins long term, they solicited offers and chose what they felt was the best offer. Now I wouldn't be surprised if the league does to Vlade what it did to Hinkie and strongly recommends someone for the Kings to hire to help them figure things out, but a veto of the trade would be completely inappropriate.

LeBron will probably never get another win in NOLA anyway. Why should I even care about that now?

The kings got what they could for him. It isn't the best deal but they got a number 6 pick and another first rounder and some pieces.

Andre Drummond for boogie seemed like the best offer to me. They probably could have gotten some other pieces and possibly a protected pick from Detroit too.

Unlike Philly, the owner is the issue. Sixers gave Hinkie the keys and said "Enjoy the weekend" Also Kings are just absurdly incompetent, not stretching the rules of the league to their logical extreme for an advantage.
Up for debate, but this trade might not be worse than their Sixers trade. The two combined are just embarrassing. Philly has swap rights and the Pels keep it 1-3. They are tanking now with no chance of having the #1 pick #stauskas

Drummond is still pretty flawed and about to make a ton of money. The Kings didn't want to take on salary and the owner loved Buddy.

In exchange for one of the best players in the NBA, the Kings will receive Buddy Hield, two players they reportedly intend to waive or buyout in the coming days (Langston Galloway and Tyreke Evans), and a 2017 first-round pick and second-round pick.
It’s not a joke — that’s the package. Even if there was another first-round pick included in the deal, it would still stand as one of the most ridiculously lopsided deals in recent NBA history. (Stern would have vetoed this in a heartbeat.)

Tom HaberstrohVerified account ?@tomhaberstroh Follow More The Kings basically just traded DeMarcus Cousins for a statistical copy of Nik Stauskas, the guy they dumped in 2015 with a '18 1st-rounder.

I still don't understand how the kings are this dumb
