Hornets get:
Wilson Chandler
Anthony Randolph
Klay Thompson
Harrison Barnes

Denver gets:
Andres Bierdrens or Richard Jefferson (both work)

Golden St gets:
Eric Gordon

That deal works in the trade machine

Even teams like the Lakers appear to be spooked by the tax penalties

The Lakers are spooked because their money all comes from the team, not like the Knicks whose owner also owns Madison Square Garden and cable companies to provide separate revenue streams.

Having a high-payroll team like this which sucks on the court would be a killer to them with repeat-offender rates.

Did we steal George Karl's cancer medicine to make him agree to that?

So Gordon is a top 5 shooting guard in the league as per this site when we signing him and now everyone wants to trade him for Thompson. Lol

Especially with Flop City stealing the heart and minds of the most fickle fanbase in America.

That is true. But they also get $200 million per year for local tv rights for the next deacde. That will cover payroll and tax penalties by itself.

We would end up with one or the other, not both.

So, I learned yesterday that, with practice, you can shoot flies with a rubberband. Back on topic.

Why would Denver do a deal that puts them over the tax line and gets them nothing in return?

If Denver gets involved it need to look like this:

LINK

With picks going to DEN.

I don't think the Hornets do that.

He's a top 5 shooting guard about every 5 or 6 games.

Barnes is going to be a solid player in the league for a long time.

But the only way he puts up star numbers is on a bad team. He looks like another Deng.

Um, sign me up for another Deng.
