I'm curious, Which site do you guys find more useful and worth your time, leaving personalities out of it. The Bird Writes or Bourbon Street Shots? I'm not trying to start a pissing contest. I just want to know honest opinions.

You really have to find the authors you like more than the sites you like. I like a few authors on each site and honestly don't care for the rest. But the stuff I don't like might appeal to others. For instance, each site seems to have a guy that tries to use humor as a differentiator and I almost never like anything they write because comic relief isn't what I'm looking for when reading an article about the Pels. There are probably other people who think it's great.

BSS podcast >>>>>>>> TBW podcast

TBW just launched their podcast and I had to turn it off. It was unbearable

I enjoy both websites. TBW has more articles with more speculation and opinion pieces but way less in depth. BSS, regardless of how you feel about them, mostly have very well thought out, intelligent, and in depth (almost to a fault) articles. I trust BSS more than TBW because of that.

Personalities excluded, BSS by far for me. The understanding of the CBA by McNamara and 42 are unmatched. I suppose it all depends on what you're looking for as a fan, but I feel like TBW caters more to casual fans looking for flashy headlines and pointless speculation.

I found that 42 piece today actually pretty terrible. I don't know who wants to read 5,000 words that could be summed up in like 500 words max.

Also, I couldn't find the one piece of information I was looking for, What does the hard cap actually prevent teams from doing and why is that scaring Dell off?. It's probably in there. I just wasn't willing to do the digging in that monstrosity of an article.

BSS guys. Brevity. Please dear lord. Brevity.

TBW is kind of useless besides humor. David has good cap info before the BSS guys at times. TBW have a better twitter follow, especially during the games. BSS is usually 42 just being a prick.

I also find the BSS comedian Chris Trew to be the least funny guy on earth.

p.s. This thing never get's old. The most awkward thing I have ever seen.

I definitely like TBW's format better but you can attribute that to SB Nation. I like how they have a fan post section. BBS, as others said previously, has better content, but a less than ideal format.

They don't eabg followers on twitter but want people to read their articles and listen to their pod which sounds like it's recorded in a trash can

I agree that 42 is the most pretentious d-bag I've seen in all of sports journalism and that's really saying something, especially since he's not a real journalist.

He makes MM look humble.

Why not both?

You guys have two good sites that give you great, in depth content that you won't get anywhere else.

Why does it have to be one or the other? It SHOULD be: Do I get my Pels info from TBW/BSS or do I rely on it from the national media who never watches a game but spouts off opinions anyway

Since this is sort of a feedback thread, can you tell Ryan to get a better mic? I don't know if he just moves away from it but at least 2-3 times per podcast I have to adjust the volume because he becomes hard to hear all of a sudden. Your levels are fine throughout so I'm pretty sure it's just him.

I don't think anyone is saying one enters and one leaves I think VOR is simply asking about preference between the two.

TBW and BSS compliment each other well and I think most people would prefer a these groups over national coverage any day.
