DX top 100

This seems to be one of the deepest 2nd rounds I've seen. Quite a few prospects are juniors or seniors that could contribute off the bench right away and guys like Qi that could be worth developing.

Any guys y'all have your eyes on?

Im not sure about drafting him, but I wouldnt mind giving some workouts to Brannen Greene from Kansas. He was a lights out shooter and I wasnt a fan of how Self used him.

Keep an eye on Sheldon McClellan- they like him

Also, Thin Maker should be his nickname. Love it

Onuaku is quite intriguing. He reminds me of biyombo in some ways.

GP2 is gonna be a player in this league and fits the modern NBA quite well. He's smart/very athletic and has some really promising defensive skills.

I know Washington has been mocked to the pels a bit lately.

Thin maker

Anyone have input on Zhou qi?

Getting rid of Asik or even Ajinca would allow us to go after a AJ Hammons, 7'2 China man, Zimmerman out of UNLV, or thon maker. All those would be a younger, better, and cheaper option than Ajinca or freakin cry me a river clown dog Asik.

And history says that none of them will be better than Asik or Ajinca. Look at picks 39 or later in the last 20 years and find me 2 centers as good as either of those guys

As bad as you think those two are, history says any big man taken 39 or later will be much worse.

It is around the same area Asik was taken as well.

History also tells us that most 2nd rounders won't make it. Should we pass on our picks?

Nope. Just keep expectations realistic. No big man taken at 39 or later this year will be even close to the player Asik or Ajinca is right now next year. And in all likelihood, ever will be

But optimism blinds this time of year

You never know unless you try. We sell the picks and we have a 0% chance of finding a gem

They won't sell this year. As I have detailed before, those were different circumstances. Draft and stash, or trade one for future considerations- very possible

Sell? Nah

When is that kid from Kansas that never really played projected to go? The guy in the McDonald's game and at the combine was the best player on the court

He's likely a late first for a team that had the patience to develop him over a few years

He will probably end up at golden state or the Spurs and turn out to be a stud. I still can't believe he didn't play at Kansas. A high energy athletic big man should NT have trouble playing 15-20 minutes a game in college

I really like Robert Carter. He always stood out when I watched Maryland play and I like his offensive tools. I think he'll be in a NBA rotation, which is all you can ask for from a second rounder.

You can stash anybody nowadays, if the guy agrees. So, I am sure they are asking guys if they would be okay with that right now in the process, and planning accordingly. I mean, Pierre was orignally supposed to be an overseas stash before he got home sick. The Hawks stashed Muscala, etc. Stashing isn't just for foreign guys anymore
