Besides the Omer Asik trade with Houston for a 1st.

I will also accept add-ons to the Asik deal.

So, go on record sons.

Ryno for I don't know who, would have to be a 3, but I believe he's gone.

I think this is the year Gordon finally gets traded. Wolves, Pistons, or Hornets lock.

Have heard that he is not being shopped (that applies to both right now now as well as back on draft night), and that the Pelicans would have to be absolutely blown away by an offer in order to deal him. Not saying it can't happen, but I firmly believe either Rivers or Gordon is getting sent out to make room for Asik.

Haven't heard anything, and while I would certainly bet on a Rivers deal if I had to guess who gets moved between he and Gordon, I don't think trading Gordon is completely unrealistic.

That KMart/Buddinger trade doesn't seem pipe dreamy at all to me. In fact it might not be my first choice in a Gordon trade unless it was my only choice. We're basically taking on similar money ($12 vs $15) for a longer period of time.

I guess my disdain for Mr. Gordon has made me cynical about any possible trade. even that one seems like a pipe dream to me

You also have to remember that they just changed from Kahn/Adelman to Flip, and KMart/Buddinger were both brought in from Houston because of Adelman.

Can KMart play some at the 3? If we were to get Buddinger, couldn't that shore up the 3 between he, Reke, KMart, and even Morrow if he returns?

Hate to beat a dead horse but I really like Parsons. He does everything well and even though he'll get paid, this year i think he falls in line with our motto of young veterans that are still developing.

I'm new at this arm chair GMing but it's quite entertaining. So please bare with me.

If the EG rumor to Minny is legit and the the wolves only want to send out K-mart and Bud, wouldn't we be able to (maybe) find a third team to take Bud and give them say a 2nd rounder or cash or both to absorb his contract????

Wouldn't this allow us to absorb K-mart's salary into our est. 7 million cap space, use the trade exception to sign Asik in the HOU deal, have the MLE and BAE for bench players (i.e. Morrow,Tucker) and/or go after Parsons with a offer sheet modest in the first year than grow in the next?

Is this a possibility????

As long as the team isn't stacked 1-3 you can certainly run a 3 guard lineup of Holiday/Evans/KMart and put KMart on the worst of the 3 opposing wings/guards. Especially if you had Asik and AD roaming the lane.

Maybe, but I wouldn't count on it. Take a look at his career. LINK Never had a 15 or better PER (15 means you're a league average player). Career 3P% is 35.7%, which is on the borderline between bad and adequate. Has an injury history as troubling as Gordon or Jason Smith.

The hesitation on this deal isn't about Martin as much as it is also taking on the 2/$10 Budinger has left. And that's also what makes the deal seem realistic.

If I'm the Pels, I push for LRMAM as the cap filler w/ Martin. Mbah a Moute is one of the better wing defenders in the league. Not a guy you can give heavy minutes to because he doesn't give you much of anything on offense, but defensively, he is everything we hoped Aminu would turn into. Of course, doing so may push the deal too heavily in New Orleans' favor.

Buddinger only has 2 years left, so the last year would only be Martin.
