His twitter profile says he writes for ESPN and CBS and he's got 45000 followers, so it's not just some random guy. McNamara did say that they'd be interested if Young would waive his player option for next year.

Ajinca and a 2nd for Nick Young would be nice.
I don't like the guy, but he can shoot.
Lakers were ready to stretch him this summer, but decided against it. That's pretty bad when a team that has no where to go doesn't want to pay you 5M.

They have him in their crosshairs, as I have been saying. Sticking point is that 2nd year. Pels would prefer he decline it but it sounds like it might not be an absolute deal breaker because they think they can dump him if it came to it

i thought pels wanted him to waive the PO. thought that meant play under the 5 mill extension

No concerns about adding Swaggy P to this locker room while integrating Cousins? Also it sounds like they are aiming to be under the cap if they want him to decline the PO and some of the other salary dump rumors. That true?
