This new type of player seems to coincide with us bringing in Gar Foreman as special advisor. Does anyone know if he's still with us? He always was one to go for veteran college players when he was the GM of the bulls, seems like since we hired him we've started to go that route for the most part (not Dyson obviously)

He is still with the team, listed as a college scout. LINK You are right about the coincidental timing, I originally thought the same, but all of the credit for the drafts has been given to Trajan and assistant GM Bryson Graham. Forman is pretty firmly in the background, so while I’m sure he helps with that kind of player being his previous focus, I don’t think he’s the Pels Jeff Ireland.

In hindsight, there's not much we could have improved since the 2021.

2021:
Trey murphy III (after trade with memphis)
Herb jones
Jose alvarado
- I guess we could have stayed put and drafted alperen sengun. But would he be the guy with Ingram & Zion? Would they be okay with it?

2022:
Dyson Daniels
Ej Liddell
Karlo Matkovic
- Think this is one where I go back and forth. the defense and youth that Dyson brings (and his flaws offensively) vs the defense and filling the void we need with a defensive big man that Mark Williams, Jalen Duren, and Walker Kessler. That and the potential to acquire more assets and get a guy like Tari Eason.
- Obvious in EJ and Karlo, hindsight says we needed to just move the picks for cash or future picks.

2023:
Jordan Hawkins
- So far so good, the only thing you could realistically have done better was take JJJ (Miami), Podziemski (GSW), or trade up to get Lively.

The negatives are irrelevant. Their negatives pale in comparison to almost every other FO in the league over that same time period. They deserve nothing but praise because no franchise has drafted more efficiently over the last 5 years.
