Pels offer Jason Terry

NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports the representatives for free agent guard Jason Terry have received an offer from the New Orleans Pelicans.
Sources with knowledge of his situation said Terry has an offer from the Rockets to return to Houston, but he considers the offer insufficient.

I'm guessing the Rockets offered a 1 year vet min contract, which his worth IMO.

To them he is, he's worth more to a team like the pels just for vet leadership. He's the perfect locker room guy honestly. Could def see him playing a lot more than Perkins though that's why I give him more $. However im still taking Cole over him. I really want Cole back.

Well we don't have cap room to offer him, and I wouldn't want him guaranteed for more than 1 season, so I think that's all he's worth to the Pels too.

Cole can ask all he wants, unless someone offers he has no leverage. Even if he sat out the season we don't lose our RFA rights.
Maybe they know an offer for Cole is coming, but I'd say that this is like the Perkins move for veteran leadership and isn't about Cole at all. If they sign Terry it's not like they dump Cole, they still expected to resign Cole when they targeted Barbosa.

I would love to have Jason Terry, but I would rather Norris Cole since he's younger. Norris Cole must be asking for too much $$$.

If Terry likes the future of the team after year 1 and wants to take another cheap contract for year 2 and on, you wanna talk about recruiting KD? AD, gentry, Perkins, and Terry would be a nice little recruiting group, just saying.

No but Terry is a well-respected veteran throughout the league and I would only imagine if he is on the Pels he would be one of those guys helping with a pitch to Durant, that's just who Terry is, a very vocal veteran. It's hard not to respect JT.
