Dude, are you serious?

Why would you give up all of your assets for Faried? I don't see where the desire in this thread to trade for him is coming from. He's by no means a bad player but he isn't a needle mover. Trading all of our assets for him would be silly.

That's not all of our assets. That's trash, a 2nd rder people are hyped about cause or summer league and a 2nd rd pick. It's not like we're discussing Holiday/Hield or hell even Frazier.

All of our assets?! Lmao go home. Diallo is the only asset there, MAYBE the 31st pick. Faried is a proven freak of nature in his prime years. New scenery is all he needs and that will boost his motor even more.

I would say that he is, or certainly can be.

Those aren't really great assets. Reke doesn't have a future with this team. Ajinca is just a guy. We're all excited about Diallo, but that's mostly based on a handful of Summer League games. You hope to get a contributor in that 31-35 range, but it's a longshot.

The problem is that the move would cut down on our cap space next season. If we use Jrue's cap hold to spend as much money as possible before going over the cap, this move would drop us from ~$13m down to about $6-7m. Not really much more than the MLE. And I would feel kind of bad for Jones, but whatever.

If healthy, Faried's deal is reasonable. It just kind of feels like the Asik/Reke type signings that we seem to be getting away from rather than the under the radar ones we made this offseason. It also kind of kills the whole Hill as a small-ball PF idea and would leave him nearly exclusively at the SF spot, but that's not really a big deal. I really don't know what I would do, but I wouldn't be upset if we did it.

I'm not giving up jrue or our first in a deal for Faried. They aren't taking Asik. Which leaves Evans and Ajinca. I'm fully confident Tim Frazier can be our full time back up pg. He distributes the ball on offense in a way that Evans never has or never will be able too. Plus we have Moore who will also be helping the 2nd unit. Plus who says one day buddy won't be bringing the ball up? Evans needs to be traded at this point but his injuries will make that hard.

We need nobody on this roster who plays hero ball. Ball movement and spacing is what we need- Evans does neither. He can't shoot and he doesn't move the ball around at all. Frazier does both, you have to respect his jump shot.

We trade Evans for another solid big (faried/Monroe/Vucevic) this offseason goes from an A to an A++

Not too sure people realize what the Nuggets roster looks like. The Pels have nothing, short of Davis and future 1sts that would interest them. They won't take the 3 for 1s people are tossing in this thread.

They could take on Asik or Evans into cap space, but will require sending out future 1sts. Faried is a good player on a great contract, he's not being moved in dump unless they get multiple picks back.

With Faried and Holiday's cap hold, they would be roughly around $98M guaranteed going into next summer. So they cap themselves out of FA and lose draft picks. Why the Pels, after the past 3 years, would play that tune again is beyond me.

I guess the question is what ceiling would people realistically expect for this team with Faried?

Isn't Faried hurt?

Do we want our training staff anywhere near this guy?

Corndeaux that's what I was trying to say but not doing a very good job of.

For the cost associated with Faried (3 years and $36m approximately) left on his contract and with the roster they have there I don't see it happening other than us facilitating a deal elsewhere. Even then I'm not so sure.

Ajinca, Asik, Pondexter, Cunningham, draft picks are our only true pieces we can depart with. I exclude Holiday because the team has been very adamant that he's in their future plans and Evans because of injury. I don't see Denver wanting much, if any, of that. They have a lot of guys at the 5 on very good deals right now.

Faried, if dealt, will most likely be moved to a LAC or something if they want to give up Blake or Miami if Bosh pushes to be moved. Just speculation on my part there.

Diallo cannot be dealt until December I believe since he just signed his contract.

Not only does trading for Faried wipe out your cap space like you said, but it also takes assets like the Philly 2nd which you might need to move Asik to free up cap space. It's going back to Win Now. They just left the dumpster fire, keep running and don't look back.

Hopefully this is Demps doing his former assistant a solid and looking like an interested buyer or trying to facilitate like Ballhawk suggested.

I'd rather just see what we have with this roster for now.

I'm honestly shocked people wouldn't want Faried if it took Evans ( he's gone after this season anyways) a 2nd round pick, and Diallo. Really blows my mind.

it really isn't that hard to fathom. Maybe people are excited about Diallo's potential and don't want to trade it away for a 6'6 power forward.

Faried is 6-8. 6-9 with shoes. Typical PF size but he's as athletic as a 3. The time is now. If we have a chance to improve our team on the interior that drastically we do it. That's my opinion.

I don't think you're properly valuing future cap space into the equation. We need Tyreke and Asik's space combined plus Galloway and Cunningham opting out to add a good starting caliber player. Adding Faried to the guys they just signed locks you into a mediocre core.

I also think you might be overvaluing Faried. He's never averaged more than 28 MPG. Guys like him can be essential to contenders, see Tristan Thompson, but unless AD is ready to GOAT it up, I think we need to stay flexible and keep trying to add a player better than Faried.

The path to contention requires adding a 2 way wing that can score and create. With any luck that will be Buddy, but if it isn't you have to hope for a guy like Hayward or Butler/George, or worse comes to worse trade for a Middleton and hope he Jrue and Buddy can be the #2 and #3 guys by committee. You won't be able to afford adding a Faried/Tristan Thompson, you'll have to develop one, which is exactly why you don't trade Diallo. It's not that he's untradeable or the deal you proposed is bad value, it just doesn't lead us where we all want to go.

Denver already has a logjam at the guard positions with a lot of young talent that needs pt. No way they want Reke.

Like I've said before the only way this makes sense is if we are moving Reke straight up with a 2nd rounder and flipping Asik or Ajinca elsewhere...preferably Asik

Holy shite. You guys can't be fricking serious. Faried is fricking 6'6 dude is undersized amd horrible.

Is Pels talk always this retarded? This is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard.

Holy shite I'm dumbfounded by the amount of people who want this trade.

We do not want Faried. Period.

I'm leading the charge to #MPTGA and it's gonna be a lot harder than I thought.

Sad!
