It's a fair point, but we haven't been competitive against Western playoff teams of late. I didn't expect to win a playoff series, but I had hopes of being competitive in a first round exit. 6 of the 8 playoff teams would push our shite in over a 7 game series, and Dallas/Phoenix would win in 5 or 6.

Most of us agreed that if we were going to get into the playoffs it would be as an 8 seed. Right now we're only 1 game back in the loss column from the 8 seed, playing an insane schedule. (Two western conference road trips already is a joke). We're still in decent position.
No doubt we have to play better, but we haven't played ourselves out of playoff contention.

The problem is we have a 55-60 win conference finalist favorite about to catch us in the standings. Phoenix is not the realistic goal. Dallas/OKC is.

Phoenix and everyone else hoping for that 8 seed didn't put enough distance between themselves and OKC as they needed to while Durant and Westbrook were out.
OKC will get in.
