That's going to be a joke if we have to deal Ryno just to make the Asik trade...I mean a complete joke.
Couldn't we just cut rivers also. He has a team option.

I'm expecting it to be very quiet until the Lebron/Melo shoes start dropping. Teams like Phoenix that are lining up to make a run might be more willing to trade for the Ryan Anderson's of the world after being told no. I don't consider Gerald Green and a 1st for Ryno a spare parts deal. If we get something in that range, I can live with upgrading the SF position that way.

I didn't realize AD was so hated on here. I post AD gone and get 7 upvotes.

I wasn't one of the upvotes.

Dumping Gordon is the first option, but dumping Rivers has to be plan B, not trading Ryno for parts and cap space.
I read that article you posted the link to dealing with the cap. A very gloomy picture it was. As was pointed out in that article, just trading Rivers alone will not get the Asik deal done...money wise or preserving all of our rights. A 3 team trade is needed in order keep all of our rights and get under the cap.
What was the conclusion?

More realistically, however, we see Austin or Anderson leave and that decision will likely come down to how much value the Pelicans can get in either scenario. If the Rivers scenario causes them to lose depth and makes adding a SF hard, then perhaps Ryan Anderson would be the way to go if they can get a small forward that they like back in the deal and/or a draft pick that could help them move Gordon.

If Dell can't put a 3 team trade together in a hurry, Anderson may be out of here.
I'm almost to the point of favoring stretching EG...but I don't ever want to hear that damn name again....ever!

I was about to say that those folks mistook AD for EG...but that can't be right. You'd 2,765 upvotes, if that was the case.

Rivers alone, no, but Rivers with the voidable contracts of Melvin Ely, Luke Babbit, and I had been figuring Darius Miller, but we just cut him loose. That's all you need to do to make it a 3 way trade, find someone wanting Rivers(they'll cut the other guys you send them) for free or for a 2nd round pick.

What was the conclusion?
As we process more information things change. It took the Kevin Martin rumor to make me think about trading Gordon enough to realize we don't need to get an expiring back any more, something that had previously been a requirement of any Gordon trade. All we need back are useful role players that fit the roster better, even if they aren't starting caliber and tie up the cap for a longer period of time than Gordon.

How about we forget about the Asik deal,
sign and trade Gordon and Anderson for Bosh and give Bosh the max which is about 5 milion more a year than what he will most likely sign in Miami.

can't a guy have dreams?
I lineup of Bosh and Davis would be pretty sweet.

Yes. I see it the same as Davis and Ryan, specially if Asik is in the mix.
Posted on 6/30/14 at 3:48 pm to Gtothemoney
I'd trade everybody not named Davis for Westbrook
Now that's a dream.
Now that's a dream.

Call me crazy but I'd take Asik and Davis over Bosh and Davis. Bosh is too soft down low.
Posted on 6/30/14 at 4:24 pm to Epic Cajun
That doesn't make you crazy. That makes you smarter than anyone who'd rather Bosh.
