players handed out food, played games with the kids and took countless photos with the goal of brightening residents’ stay. Team members also handed out Pelicans’ gear and signed basketballs for the children in the shelter.
...Overall, the message the team wished to leave with the community was one of support, solidarity and assurance.
“It’s definitely important to know that the Pelicans are a part of this community. This is the whole state of Louisiana being affected. It’s not just Baton Rouge,” Galloway said. “We definitely want to be a part of this whole community and continue [to help] throughout this whole year.”
Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry reiterated his teams’ sentiments.
“We’re not just New Orleans' team, but we’re Louisiana’s team,” Gentry said. “We wanted everyone to know we’re concerned about them as much as we would be if it was in New Orleans.”

It looks like the team had a pretty good turnout of guys going.
Awesome for them to do this. AD is great at these events

Jrue wasn't there but I think he was either on vacation or with Lauren doing baby stuff. I am pretty sure I've heard that they are expecting.

Here's a group picture that has everyone I saw in individual photos except Robert Sacre. That would mean no Jrue, Gee, Hill or Tyreke. Pretty good turnout for August.
In the back 2 rows of Pelicans personnel I see from left to right:
Kevin Hansen (bigs coach)
AD
Dante Cunningham

Red Cross is about as useless as tits on a boar. Churches in town have done far more good.
Side note, I'd like to ask Asik if he found any good alfredo in town.

I was looking around for a couple minutes before I could find him. He always looks short around the team, but 95% would. Here he is with non-NBA players and he still looks tiny.

I think I would rather visit with this pelicans employee crew that came to volunteer last week....
