This will likely be a minority opinion, but Williams did an outstanding job the past few years working with a flawed roster that for three seasons was at times decimated by injuries and replete with holes at positions that Demps had difficulty shoring up in the offseason.

Williams' job performance this year, bringing this team back from the brink of elimination and fighting off a spirited challenge from the short-handed Oklahoma City Thunder, was nothing short of extraordinary.

173-221 won't cut it and most coaches would've been fired before the fifth year. If Dell doesn't acquire Cole, Pondexter and Cunningham, were out the playoffs and both are fired.

Unfortunately his team continuously not showing up against terrible teams put him in that spot.

Correct, Jimmy. Except the exact opposite. They fired the right guy and kept the guy they should have.

Dell created the holes that necessitated those moves. Dell is not without fault in that 173-221 record. I'd argue that Monty overachieved with a couple of the total shite rosters Dell gave him early.

Dell has squandered draft choices. The only one he nailed was the one a blind man could see. Asik thing may work out.
