2nd most loyal fans in the league. Top loyal "diehard" fans ,bottom disloyal "fair weather" fans. Calculated by wins and attendance.

All this proves is the Pels have shitty attendance when they're winning too.
Definitely takes a Harvard degree to run a simple correlation statistic with two variables as well.

Yeah I hate to say it, re-visit this chart in two seasons if we start inching toward 50 win seasons consistently and things will change pretty fast.
Not that I would be complaining, but the problem with this franchise is we have not had sustained success. So a chart like this sees consistent low attendance as loyalty.
Even after that CP3 playoff run we battled injuries next season and you could tell the bubble burst on building a new baseline.

They must have used paid attendance and not actual butts in seats

That's the worst top 6 I've ever seen. This poll is stupid

I hate to say it, but you have absolutely no clue what the frick you're talking about.
So much whining in this thread. Love how all these people think they know more than the guy who put in actual research into the project.
Most of you would be shocked to know the number of STHs (including combining the halves into wholes) from the past 2 years. There's probably more STHs than there are butts in seats at the games. It's really exhausting to go to every game come March when your team is completely out of the playoff picture, year-in, year-out. Hell, it's exhausting in January when you're sitting below .500 and know it's over already deep down.
This city will embrace this team if they can be consistently good.

I don't think you processed what I was actually trying to say.
We have had a consistent below capacity attendance over a long period of time. Never really breaking through and becoming what the Saint were post-Katrina.
The way this analysis seems to be set up is to measure fan attendance/tickets sold over a time period and compare the attendance during lower win seasons with higher win seasons and rank them by who has the smallest relative gap.
Because our team has never experienced large sustained success over many seasons, the data concludes we have really loyal fans.
My point was that if(hopefully when) our team starts stringing together some consistent 45+ win seasons, our ranking will probably plummet. Why? Because like you are saying, I expect attendance/tickets purchased will jump, and a new higher baseline of attendance will be achieved. But in an analysis like this, our ranking would plummet because the gap between our bad and good seasons will be much greater.

Actual research? The guy plotted win percentage and attendance in an excel file and calculated the Pearson Correlation Coefficient. Probably took him 15 minutes

Also claiming that number indicates loyalty is horsecrap. It's like defining restaurant quality by customer volume or intelligence by salary.
It's a dogshit, meaningless use of statistics that I'd expect from a 6th grader and an embarrassment to the Harvard name.
I've got nothing against the Pelicans, this particular measurement is cat manure.

And yet still he knows more about attendance than the whining in this thread.
