Yup. Way too easy stop the Pels with Asik in. Cunningham needs to play more at the 4 too.

This just isn't a good matchup for Asik/Ajinca. Anderson will get torched on d, but he still gets respect from defenses. Key difference.

the problem is that it's going to be EXCEPTIONALLY hard to defend with rybot on the floor

he's going to have to light it up or let AD dominate to justify that trade off

Asik looked terrible out there. Slow and constantly out of position.

True. But they aren't stopping anything with Asik in. Pulling Bogut out of the paint or the game is the best chance to win. Davis needs to be the 5

I can't get over how cocky curry and the warriors are. He seemed to get offended in the interview when they talked about the comeback. They haven't won shite!

Isn't that what we saw in the 4th though, AD dominating? MM pointed it out from our win last week, AD/Ryno probably gives us the best chance even though it's a double edged sword. Getting Bogut out of the paint or game should open things up for Tyreke too if he can go.

i think he could have done OK with our defensive changes in the 2nd, giving up the 3

in the first, we defended the 3 and left the lane open and it was suicide

And it was difficult to defend when Asik was in the game and Warriors pulled everyone away from lane leaving open for cutters off many screens.

Do Pelicans ever run a zone?

I can't imagine running a zone against a team that is so good from the outside.

yeah but the vast majority of that was when bogut wasn't even on the court b/c of rotations and AD being off the primary one due to sitting out for fouls

It's all suicide v the Warriors. And it won't matter because they cannot generate consistent good looks v the Warriors with Asik in the game. GS defense is better than GS offense

Love the way the Pels fought and never gave up

I think this is the dumbest thought process of all time. Curry didn't do shite except for light us up. Just because they won doesn't mean he's a piece of shite. I could see hating Klay or Draymond Green for his flex shite, but Steph really didn't do anything except for look frustrated with their free throw shooting.

We hung in well but need to get tougher in defense.

I was pretty impressed by it. There were several plays where we would swing the ball to the opposite corner that have been open looks all year long, they always had a guy rotating in time.

I didn't like the fact that he seemed to have zero interest in doing the post game interview. You're one of the faces of the league, you need to suck it up and put on a happy face.

unfortunately this is spot on
if they can't score with asik on the floor in game 2 it will be time to go small at home and hope to out score them

What I saw there was a player who saw how big of a lead his team let go and was upset about it. There's not much more they could have done right for most of this game, especially when he's on the court, and not win this game without issue. I think his frustration was more this the way his team performed with him on the bench than the interview.

Curry flat out said post game that they're going to need those free throws later in the playoffs. They're still looking past the Pels.
