Looks like he might be available this offseason.
Any way we could land him without giving up Davis or Cousins?
Would he be a better fit next to Davis than Cousins? More of an inside-outside thing?

Lakers are not trading #2 for George. He will force his way to LA for much less at the deadline.

Our only shot was winning the lottery. We didn't.
Now all we can do is facilitate a three way trade with some sign n trade action. Something something, Paul George and Jrue to the Lakers. D'Angelo Russell to the Pacers. Jeff Teague to us.
Or something that makes sense in a different universe than the one we exist in.

In the Pelicans current state getting Jeff Teague wouldn't be horrible. He would be the third best player on the team if Jrue leaves.
Right now the Pelicans are a disaster. It is no surprise that a team with Lookis involved is in cap hell.

The Lakers should go after George first and then I think Thompson from Golden State could be had as well. No way the Warriors can afford him in two years. He also is the forth most valuable player on that team. I think Randle and Clarkson could get Thompson reunited with Walton.
