I don't think it was ranking the top 30 centers, but rather the starting Cs for all 30 teams. No Noah on the list either.

Things can change quickly (and good health, for once, would be nice), but they appear to be running out of bullets in the chamber for a title contending roster.

Regardless of his contract, he is still dead last on this list and that's unacceptable. Not in a "he should be ranked higher" stand point but more in a "we need an upgrade and bad" way.

I was a defender of asik but my basketball iq is very low so I will defer to the list makers and jump on the get rid of asik at all costs wagon

This team sure as hell could use his help rebounding the ball and he does a good job of forcing the other team away from the rim. The problem isn't that he's 30th on that list, it's that we are paying starter money for a 20 MPG role player.

No, we want to get rid of him at no cost, preferably during the summer. There will be so much money chasing so few stars it could happen as early as this upcoming offseason if the FO was so inclined.

One day people will understand why I despise Asik so much. He's a huge anchor to this team and I'm not talking about a good anchor. He's sinking the ship with his salary and minutes played. He's also injury prone but that doesn't surprise me bc Dell loves to give up first round picks for the chronically injured.

This list is pathetic.
Al Horford is arguably the best center in the league. Greg Monroe has played lights out this year as well, has a PER of 24.9 compared to Duncan's 19.5.

This team has a lot more flexibility than people give it credit for. You know who wasn't in the top 30? A center that was given away this summer, Tiago Splitter. If you can similarly give Asik away in the next 2 years, you can go in so many directions, build around AD/Jrue/Reke or blow it all up and try to build a Miami style Big 3 when guys like CP3, Gordon Hayward, Westbrook, Ibaka, and possibly even KD and LeBron are back on the market. Now the way they over committed to Asik does worry me that they won't make the moves needed to have that level of flexibility in 2017, but hope is still there for now.

Where did all the Asik supporters go?
Posted on 11/17/15 at 3:59 pm to Gtothemoney
I think this team needs his particular set of skills, but I did not like the deal they signed him to at all. It was always questionable if he'd be needed/useful more than 2-3 years from now with AD continuing to grow and the league shifting small.

Tbh, I never knew much about him before we signed him. I knew of him and knew he was a big dude like we needed, but after watching him more closely with the Pels, I couldn't stand his game. Yes, he'd come up with a handful a nice defensive plays per game, but his deficiencies far outweighed those plays.
Yes, I'd rather Kosta Koufous.

Checking in.
He had a bad game against the Knicks but played really well against the Mavs. Once he gets into game shape, he will be huge for this team.

Things we can judge after 10 games:
Injured team sucks - check
Coach who coaches injured team sucks - check
1% of games into injured Asik's 5 year deal - check

Most of that list either makes more than he does or will in a year
Posted on 11/17/15 at 6:08 pm to Gtothemoney
76 of 82 games or 93% of his teams games
you sound ridiculous trying to call people out after 10 games. not a good look, come back in a year

Careful with the booms, Gyno. It may be too soon.
