Writing is on the wall fellas, we're gonna have to win out now. Tonight is one thing, but we're going to have to beat the defending champs who are playing for the two seed to make the dance.

Can we cut the power to the arena and delay the game 2 hours so the Spurs can know if they can rest their starters.

Yep. Going to need a monster game from AD, and the 3's to fall for us on Wednesday.

Obviously we will still hold out hope that the Blazers find a reason to show up tonight. They have lost 3 of their last 4, (Only win was Minnesota, losses to the Jazz, Warriors, and Nets) maybe they want to try and regain some form before the playoffs. They already have the 4 seed locked in.

How can a team that has lost 5 out of the last 6 be a 8.5pt favorite? This is absurd. I know its at home but they have also lost 3 out of 4 at home in that same stretch. I think Portland blows them out. Another double digit loss for OKC!

Because Portland has no reason to win tonight.

Stotts was pissed about the way they lost to the Jazz. I don't think they will go through the motions on this one, which players will be available is the main issue.

Has there been any mention of who, if anyone, Portland sits tonight?

Just found this
LINK

quote:

Out for the Blazers: Wesley Matthews, Dorell Wright, Arron Afflalo, LaMarcus Aldridge (day-to-day)

quote:

Though regular season wins and losses are inconsequential for the Blazers at this point -- they're locked into the fourth seed without hope of home court advantage and have no control over their first-round opponent -- expect Portland to come out tonight and put in a much more spirited effort than the team did Saturday. Aldridge may not be ready to return, but he may not need to.
quote:

If the Blazers can step out of character the way their coach did after the game Saturday when he tersely criticized his team, they can coldly kick the Thunder tonight when they're down and put another win in their back pocket as the postseason approaches.

If Lillard, Kaman, Batum, Rolo, McCollum play, Portland can take this. Kaman will probably make Kanter look Ryno silly.

This makes me hesitantly happy.

The absolute worst thing going for the Pels right now is that Houston finishes with the Hornets and the Jazz, they are going to win out. Spurs will absolutely be in a must win situation versus the Pels on Wednesday night. A loss would send them from 2nd to 5th in all likelihood.

Memphis has @Golden State and vs. Indy. I'd expect them to lose at least 1 of those. Houston will be the team that pushes the Spurs to try and win.

Houston and Memphis are currently tied at 54-26, both 0.5 games behind the Spurs.

Memphis plays at Golden State tonight and at home versus Indiana on Wednesday, while Houston plays @ Charlotte and vs. Utah.

We will see. If I'm the Spurs, I will take a Portland first round match-up all day every day instead of the match-up vs the team that took us to 7 last year in the 1st round.

I pray for a Pels win and a OKC loss tonight, so we dont have to worry about beating the spurs.

Maybe Westbrook's arms will be so tired after shooting over 50 times last night that he won't shoot much tonight.

Wouldn't matter. They will rescind it. Honestly it's better if he does if they win because they'll beat the wolves without him and he won't have to worry about picking up one in the playoffs.
