So Butler and Love could potentially go West now? Can some of these damn stars head East?
I think the more realistic scenario that Butler stays in the East (CLE) , and maybe Love goes West (PHX). Hayward may head East and Hill may leave too, so that would hurt Utah. Hopefully if Kristaps leaves the Knicks, he just goes to Boston.

I hate posting New York based rumors about other teams trading with the Knicks, but like NOFOX said, Boston makes a lot of sense.
Of all the players rumored available, Zinger fits for Boston. They can go win now, while still planning for the future (post Lebron). If Phil is trading, then they probably want pure picks. Unlike Butler and George, Porzingis doesn't require any real roster machinations and allows them to still sign Hayward. He is 21 and can grow with their young guys. Boston might even be able to keep the Nets pick next year.
BONUS - we wouldn't have to endure anymore ridiculous AD to Boston BS.

#3 overall this year, Clips 2019 pick, Avery Bradley & Marcus Smart for Porzingis & Courtney Lee

I think the Knicks say no to that right now as supposedly the demands are very high. I also think Ainge is going to have a tough time parting with his assets, but I could see a fair trade of Porzingis for Smart or Bradley + #3 + 2018 LAL/2019 SAC + 2018 MEM or LAC.

I can't see the Knicks trading Porzingis. What would they have left on the team to build around?

If they get #3 - Josh Jackson

It's said that they want a playmaking guard, but I think the assets in Boston would be better.

We want Boston to hold their assets for when we need to dump boogie
Posted on 6/20/17 at 1:32 pm to GynoSandberg
I don't disagree, but thinking objectively if they are going to move assets why not for a guy that would be under team control for a long time that allows them to make a move for Hayward.

Nor would I. That's funny. In a world dominated by wings, give the most promising young SG away WITH #4 for KP? Nope.

Pacers and Lakers talking PG trade:

On the last Zach Lowe podcast he said some teams are hoping LA trades for him so he sees how bad it is and then leaves next year in FA

They were talking about this on NBA Radio (XM 86 for those curious - they have Joel Meyers on almost every morning from 9-12). It's a big risk for them. Trade for the guy instead of locking him in and getting him outright before he knows what he's getting into. Paul George's camp apparently has told the Lakers not to give assets to the Pacers and hold tight.
I'm not overly knowledgeable in this area so before I look dumb, I'm assuming the Lakers still can't offer him the 5th year if he's traded this season? I'd think the PG camp would be clamoring to make it happen if so. Are the Pels able to do this with Cousins because he was traded with 2 seasons (or a season and a half) left on his deal?

What do you think booker can do that porzongis can't?? Porzingus can score from anywhere at 7'
Booker can score but I've seen people liken him to klay and curry and can only laugh at this point
You can count on 1 hand the # of guys w porzingis skillset. People want to white guy comp him to death but go listen to what a guy like Durant says about him

If they trade for him they would be able to offer a 5th year.
I wonder if the agent is worried about things being bad enough for PG-13 to leave if the Lakers trade for him. Shoe money is reportedly a factor in his desire to go to LA and that can be a pretty big deal. DeRozan was considering the Lakers because of shoe money. Also, agents have had their commissions on contracts reduced a good bit over the years, but I think the agent would get a bigger cut of the shoe money so he no doubt wants George in LA for a long time.
