Only interesting things to come from the presser, imo:
Demps is a puppet at this point. Loomis should have done this presser. Demps seemed just as surprised about the firing as Monty was.
Management told Demps the Dumars rumors aren't true.
New coach will decide what to do with the assistants.

Yeah, Demps is normally very smiley at pressers. Not that this was a positive occasion, but he looked like if he had hair it'd be a few shades grayer than it was 8 months ago.

You're right. I didn't word that right. Not an unofficial agreement, but definitely confirmed interest.
Just the timing of the whole thing is the only reason I say it feels like that.

But at one point he said something like, "this all happened really quickly", which was basically what Monty also said.
Doesn't seem like something the gm would say, if he was in control. He also said he hasn't even talked to Monty, Mickey did.
