That's a really shite return for a guy that fit well on the team. Wouldn't have been a great return for Okafor either, given that he was a top 3 pick, but Okafor doesn't fit on the 6ers and Noel does.

What the hell is wrong with Danny Ainge? Is he that scared of George leaving for LA in 2 years? Why would George want to go to the Lakers and be the best player on a team in a conference that is so top heavy? Even tier 2 is going to be pretty scary with the Jazz/Rockets/Pels.

Has this been discussed? Wizards want a 2nd for Trey Burke? Haven't really followed him after we passed on him for Jrue...

I think Ainge should keep the pick, with the strongest draft class in recent memory, I'd rather see them get a rookie on a great deal and keep the rest of their assets than acquire Paul George and most likely still lose in the playoffs.

the Celtics are stupid if they don't get George.
They have a chance to win championships right now.
If you keep those picks, they aren't helping you for another 4 years at least, and by then Horford will be done, and you don't even know if the draft picks will be worth a shite.
You know who Paul George is.

The Celtics should keep their roster young and talented while biding their time until LeBron's career starts winding down and the Cav's are hampered by big contracts.

hell they could probably still sign Gordon Hayward this offseason as well. The only contracts they'd have guaranteed for next season that are big would be Horford and George. Between those two and Thomas, that's only like $50M in salaries.

If they are giving away Crowder/Bradley and anyone other than Amir and Jerebko's expirings worth $17M, they'll have a good bit of space this summer.

imagine Thomas/Hayward/George/Horford/whogivesashit

the Celtics have a ton of assets, but their core guys (IT/Horford) are older... their window isnt as large as it seems

they should strike now IMO

If they do the deal, Indy will have to get rid of players.
Buddy's exception could come into play. I'll take Glenn Robinson III of their hands, or even Aaron Brooks.

The deadline is in 1 hour, there's usually a flurry of deals that go down in the last hour to half hour.

1 hour left.
exciting day.
About to get rid of Ajinca hopefully.
About to see the beginning of dynasty tonite and watch the Pels beat the Rockets by 15, while Ryno gets demolished down low and goes 1-11 from 3, and EG runs into Boogie on a screen and hurts his pussy and is out for the season.

Denver today made a "monster" offer to Indiana for Paul George, league sources tell @ChrisBHaynes and me, but the talks gained no traction.

Sources tell @ChrisBHaynes and me that it's been conveyed to Denver that Paul George would be highly unlikely to commit there long term.

It's a good thing for Denver that Jokic, a guy they grabbed in the 2nd round, looks like a star, because otherwise their asset accumulation plan appears to be a failure.
