I am new to the board. Not a flamer or rabid name changer. I am a season ticket holder from BR. Did anyone else notice the massive amount of people around the season ticket sales stands last night. The booth outside section 123 was packed all night. I counted a line of twenty people at the booth upstairs during the 3rd quarter. How many season tickets do you guys think we might have next year?

it would be great if we hit 12-12.5k, but realistically 10.5-11k would be just amazing.

How many years?

I did it once, went to about 30 games. It was pretty tiresome towards the end. I think I might buy a 10 game package or something for next year.

This was my first year with season tickets. I bought single games tickets for 3 or 4 years before that. I didn’t want to see them leave so I figured I needed to contribute. We missed 8 games this year. The 10 game buy back is incredible and made it easier to stomach the games we missed.

I think 10k is a LOT of season ticket holders in basketball for a city like New Orleans.

I see us at 9k-10k if we don't get the #1 pick or make any MAJOR splashes in FA, but I also see us selling out a lot more games. I know what you'll all say about how good of a job they did with almost nothing to work with (ie a lockout, CP leaving, West a FA, etc etc), and I acknowledged that, but 10k is still a lot of season tickets...I can't see us getting a LOT beyond that.

If we get the #1 pick or make major splashes, all bets are off.

Oh you bet. The key is converting those 10K this year to long time holders. I know a good bit of people bought tickets as a "charity." that can't last forever.

We had 10k this year, I think with the new owner there is a lot of excitement.

As soon as I find out the status on the new Saints seats I requested I'm getting Hornets tickets. I sat the last two games in the club, and I really enjoyed the game much more with that sight line.

My ticket rep told me that the average NBA team retains 80% to 85% of their season tickets. I think we make it 10k or 10.5k right now. If we get lucky (Davis) and make a big FA acquisition we could go to 12.5k to 13k.

I think we had like 10K coming off the '08 playoff run....it evaporated pretty quickly. I lost a ton of money buying extra '09 playoff tix and not being able to get close to face for them.

I hope the people saying "we" are actually season ticket holders

At the beginning of the season I figured we'd go from 10,000 to 8,000, but people just seem excited about this team. I can't believe how much the name change has increased the traffic on this board. If there is a rebrand and a new TV deal I can see staying at 10,000 and maybe even exceeding it with the right draft/trade.

The TV deal is expected to double, possibly triple from the current $8-$9 million level. Hornets season tickets average around $33, and that's a 2010 figure not counting all the 2 for 1 deals people got this season, so it might be lower this year. Attendance this year has been 15,109 per game X 41 Games (in a normal season) X $33 = $20 million

The new TV deal should pay the Hornets $15 - $25 million per year. I applaud all the people who went to games this year, but just because people watch at home doesn't mean they aren't fans too. The new TV deal will be almost as important to the team as ticket sales.
