Like, right now.

This is year 5 for him and there has been no discernible improvement from the team. With Monty (and Dell for that matter as well) involved, all we are doing is wasting the greatest talent to ever come to a New Orleans basketball team.

The fact that people on this board still defend this guy is absolutely beyond any sort of comprehension for me

That's not going to help one bit. Monty and Demps both have another year on their deals. You really can't fire Monty and hire a new coach and then fire Demps the next year and be in the same position with a HC in place before the GM. Any firings need to happen with both positions at the end of the year.

Keep Demps for now, fire Monty and hope new blood can make lemonade out of chicken shite while it's still early. And if it doesn't work, well, you're still in the same position you'd be in if Monty was the coach.

It can be Jeff Bower in the interim for all I care, but Monty is not going to get anything more out of this team. No point in keeping him on.

What's the other message board you go to saying about Monty?

I don't see any Fire Monty threads, but that board is pretty strict about limiting threads so they may be talking about him in long game threads that I'm not wading through.

I don't see how they can keep Monty next year.

Because the season isn't over and they can still make the playoffs. The last 3 games have been losses to teams over .500. I believe we are 5-1 against teams under .500, and that's the most important part of the formula for making the playoffs. I'm not saying anyone should be happy with Monty and the way the team is playing, but it's not time to panic yet.

Literally I wanna fire Monty this fricking minute. Why we gave this arse clown another year after last year is beyond me. He was always a horrible coach. He absolutely 100% needs to go.

So what. That's what you do, you don't make rash decisions after 15 games. Just because 90% of this board was ready to fire him last year and the team isn't off to an impressive start doesn't mean Interim Coach Randy Ayers will improve anything.
