i agree with him.

quote:

``Just as long as the first name is New Orleans,'' Williams said earlier this week.``I'm really not worried about the second name. I'm pretty sure that's good fodder for everybody to talk about, but New Orleans is good for me.''

quote:

Regardless if the change occurs, Williams said he's mostly happy about the Hornets' long-term future in New Orleans secured with Benson's ownership.

``That was big for me with the team staying here,'' Williams said. ``I bought a house here because I want to be here a long time. My kids are entrenched in their school and my wife loves it here.''

Not that I expected different, but that's good to hear. Monty focuses a lot on his family so if they're happy here he won't be looking to leave.

Yea right, we'd all be pissed if they went with Spirit.

Spirit is no weirder/feminine/vague than Magic. After a few weeks the love/hatred for the name will die down. The colors are more important to me.

And it's no less silly a name than the Nets or Thunder. But all that said, would rather they went with another name.

Definately agree with Swanson. The name will grow on us eventually. And like he said, the Magic is pretty WNBAish and no one fusses about it. We'll be fine

I think they should just "rebrand" the Hornets. New unis and colors and such...maybe adopt the Mardi Gras look more full-time.

No other name will work but the "Jazz"...period.

Voodoo would be perfect if we could get it, in my opinion.

I would agree to an extent if we were ALREADY named the spirit. However, we aren't and we can avoid this homoassbag name.

Really like the fact that the family linked New Orleans and he wants to stay for many years.

Nice to have at least one of our pro coach's families living in NOLA.
