MKG sounds like he wouldn't mind getting traded to the Pels

What Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist told reporters in Kentucky today re: Terrence Jones and Anthony Davis in NOLA:

Batum did kind of snake his long term roster spot. Too bad he can't shoot and has injury issues, otherwise he'd be a nice SF to go after.

Trading Tyreke works for him, but would that really even help the team?

Seems like shedding MKG's contract would help Charlotte considering they have Batum.

MKG and a 1st for Tyreke

I don't think the likelihood of this type of move is very high although it could benefit Charlotte for the insurance money. (Maybe kind of a here ya go after losing the ASG?) Really doubt they'd give up a first on top of it.

What is left on MKG's contract? Not sure if I want to lose some future cap flexibility for him.

You're not going to get anything of value for Reke. How you guys view MKG, I'm sure they view Reke the same. An injury riddled player that has no market

I'm not super interested in MKG. He can't shoot to save his life. He's basically a more athletic Tony Allen, which is a good player, but is basically a zero on offense. He can guard 2-4, but so can Solo (not as good of a defender but still versatile) and defenses have to actually respect his shooting.

Question: Is MKG the same, better or worse than Austin Rivers on offense?

I didn't see many Charlotte games last year, so I can't testify to this, but I thought I read and heard that MKG's shot was finally improving last year?

I know he only played seven games last year, which is a ridiculously small sample size, but he looked really good in the games he did play based on what I've read. He's still only 22 years old, so I think there's a chance he becomes a decent shooter, if he stays healthy. I'd love to have him, but only at a certain cost.

Worse but at least he plays within his self unlike Austin.

he's never had an outside shot... shoots 70% or less from the line... pass
Solomon Hill is a much better player right now.

We'd still have a hole at the 3, but I'd take:

John Wall
Eric Bledsoe
Julius Randle
Anthony Davis
Karl-Anthony Towns

Why not just put Devin Booker at SF?
