If you lose the next 2 games(UTA/IND) before the break,Do you go into "sell" mode since the playoff chances are looking somewhat bleak?

With guys like EG playing so well,Do you move him or whomever else for future flexibility and just say frick it?

That's not how this management operates. They're going to try to make the playoffs until we're mathematically dead.

My name isn't Tom Benson, Dennis Lauscha, Dell Demps or Mickey Loomis. It's not me you need to convince of that.

Indiana is a bad matchup for use. It's likely we lose.

But to answer the OP, there will be no significant changes until the offseason. If the didn't Fire Monty after that terrible 5 game road trip, it ain't happening until the offseason, if even then.

This. When the FO didn't fire Monty a couple of weeks ago when the whole basketball world thought they would/should, it became clear that they're riding this pony to the end.

If they can get healthy they can still make a run for the playoffs. If Holiday and Davis are coming back they aren't out of it.

Hmmm... That's exactly what one of them would say if they were discreetly on a Pelicans' forum trying to figure out what to do.

Nah, we should give up after losing a few games without our two best players and sixth man.

Sneaking out a win against Indiana would be huge. I really think that we are going to go on a roll after the break.

You son of a bitch...

We're going to need to go something like 20-10 if we want a shot. Probably more like 21-9 or 22-8

We very recently won 7 of 9 without Jrue. I really do think 21-9 is doable if he comes back. We haven't seen this team with their top 8 players and it looks like we're 1 game away from that happening.

Many people were saying the 8th seed in the West will need to get 50 wins.

To get to 50 wins, the Pelicans or Thunder will have to go 23-7.

The Suns would have to go 21-8.

It's hard to imagine one of those teams going on a run like that to close out the season. I mean, it's certainly possible... but they'd have to play way above the level they've been playing at the whole season.

I don't think it's going to take 50 wins either. But I think we're going to need to break 45.

I don't know. They played Denver who sucks against everybody but us. We'll see how they keep it together in the next couple of weeks. Durant has been fragile all season.

Selling makes no sense given what they've done with the roster. I still don't see much of a market for Gordon. And selling means you ensure Houston gets a better pick and you send a bad message to your franchise player.

They're going to ride it out; based on that Flannery article playoffs don't seem to be an internal imperative. Get healthy post ASB and build chemistry.

I agree. The 50 wins idea won't hold up given how the teams battling for the last couple of seeds are cannibalizing each other.

Also agree with this. They want to finish the season as strong as possible.

I know this was a bad loss but it's not over yet. after the all star break if we can go on another 10 game run like the one we just had, we will be in good shape. It makes no sense to throw in the towel now and it sends a bad message to the young players and the fans.
