I heard Chad Ford on the radio yesterday say he wouldn't be surprised if he was the third or fourth player taken after he has individual workouts with teams. Said he didn't have all the fanfare as a freshman so he wasn't scouted as hard, but continues to move up draft boards.

Could this help us with trade backs if he falls to 6?Toronto needs a PF, Denver could use one too, they've been trying to trade Faried since they signed him. Convince Denver that Toronto wants to trade up and the player they want won't fall one more spot. End up with 7 and 19 and still get the guard you'd have taken at 6.

Similarly he could make Bender drop. Although if both drop we're less likely to have the guard we want available and would have no leverage to trade back.

Where do you hear this from? Besides from people on here? I know that's what most of this board wants, but I haven't heard any rumors from reputable sources

Trade the pick and Evans for Faried and run the fast break with Jrue, Faried and AD. Every score would be 132-128.

Wonder if there is any inside info involved with this projection. Would be great for us to have our choice between Hield and Murray.

DX has teamed up with Woj now so that is possible, but usually outside of the surefire top picks most mocks are pretty inaccurate.

I don't really like the way the mock lines up at all. I don't hate Hield but I'd prefer Dunn, and with Chriss and Bender going early that limits our trade back options. They have Valentine slipping all the way to 20. I wonder what Indy would want for that pick? Considering Tyreke and 2nds are our only expendable assets, I guess I shouldn't bother asking. Would the Grizz even think about Tyreke and 2nds for #17? Unless they think Conley's leaving, they have to be in win now mode, so why draft a young backup PG when you can have a 6th man like Tyreke?

While I doubt we hold on to both 2nd round picks, Isaia Cordinier would be a great pick up to hold on to and try to develop. Dude has serious athleticism, at the very least he could be an 5-10 minute a night energy guy but he definitely has the talent to be more.

I'm sure those 2 picks will be packaged some way or another but it would be nice to see us try and develop a young player for once.

It shouldnt be too difficult to be accurate 1-3 as we get closer if you have even a little inside info. 1 & 2 are known so you just need to figure out where Ainge is leaning. I think if he keeps the pick he is going for the highest upside player.

I lve having the choice between Murray and Hield. I had been leaning towards Hield in that choice because of his leadership qualities and athleticism, but starting to gravitate towards Murray as he is more athletic than I gave him credit for and has room to grow.

No clue if they would take that, but I would imagine Denver's #19 is available. They probably would want to trade one of their first's this year for a pick next year. They may consider one of our seconds this year and a protected pick or something. I think Tyreke will be difficult to get value for coming off injury and before free agency.

I feel like Hield has been mocked at 6 to us for months now and hasn't done anything to teter his movement in the draft up or down. You already know what you're getting with him, so to speak

That dx mock has Denver taking Ellenson and Damien Jones with 15 & 19. I seriously doubt they take two centers when they already have two good ones on rookie deals already.

Getting one of Denver's or Boston's mid firsts should be a priority for us. Really just getting any other first round pick should be a priority.

Am I the only one that absolutely hate how DX is setup these days?

I hate the player pages. Just hate it.

I want it setup like NBADraft (which is shitty for other reasons) or how most nfl draft player evals are.

People who have connections, they are really high on Dunn, Heild, and Valentine. They are not to high on drafting freshmen.

Because they are in love with Valentine.

Honestly don't know, but aren't trade backs in the NBA pretty rare? Why risk not getting Valentine if he is someone they love? Maybe if Toronto wants to jump Den and Sac, but don't think I would gamble the player being there after 9.

As far as straight swapping picks, yes.

You'd be looking at drafting whoever at 6 then working out a trade with whatever team drafts Valentine

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Dunn and Hield are gone if they just pick Valentine at 6.

It's the prospect of a 2 for 1 deal, not Valentine > anyone at 6. The odds of the draft falling the way we want it to are low, but if the Pels draft board is something like:

Simmons
Ingram
Bender
Hield
Dunn
Valentine
Oladipo or other young vet

then 7/19 or even 9/27 would be a hell of a lot better than taking Valentine at 6.
