Burke isnt happening
Posted on 6/26/13 at 10:52 am to GynoSandberg
I know a lot of people will scream smokescreen, but I don't see Dell and Monty wasting their time in bringing him in and working him out if there was a 0% chance they would draft him.

Mclemore would never be handling the ball in the pick and roll. And sure Vasquez could get to the basket. He did it this year, and would have better lanes with teams not being able to leave Mclemore.
Teams are gonna look really dumb if Mclemore falls over stupid groupthink.
The guy's got an extremely rare combination of skills. You just don't find SGs with elite athleticism AND elite shooting ability. You usually get neither, maybe one of those things, not both. And ballhandling might be the easiest skill in basketball to improve.

@rkamienski I will put my final up on Thursday, but I am 40% Burke, 40% McLemore, 20% Porter as of this moment

Hey, Mike, you should also be seeing that everyone thinks you're a clown.

I was with you until this.

The tweets he will get tomorrow if Burke is a pelican.

All he has to do is say "I don't think Burke fits what Monty and Dell are looking for" and most people would be ok with him changing based on the flow of information, but he can't stop himself from going the extra mile and adding something absolute like "ZERO PERCENT CHANCE"

I see there is a lot of love for Trey Burke out there in Hornets land. Don't wanna be a Debbie Downer, but there is 0% chance Dell takes him
See, this is why people dislike McNamara.
I was coming around him. I actually like when he talks about basketball, and does some analysis. It is interesting stuff, a lot of the time.
But when he tries to be an insider, he just loses it all. He doesn't know shite.

I'd prefer CJM or KCP over Burke or Bennett.
same here. I think CJ and/or KCP could be the steal of this draft.

On Thursday night, Dell need only ask himself one question: Which one of these guys is going to help me win the Summer League Championship?
This made me laugh a bit.

I was with you until this.
I've seen guys look like clowns trying to dribble and look like a totally different guy within a few months. Its all repetition
Something as simple as dribbling a tennis ball around your house anytime you're up and walking around can improve ball handling a ton.
When JR Smith was drafted it looked like he'd never dribbled a ball in his life, now he's fine creating his own shot.

Now he just posted an article with a conspiracy theory that the Pelicans will take CJ

People will probably claim this is wishful thinking on my part, because I have CJ so high on my board, but it’s just not true. I wasn’t hoping we would take Rivers at ten, and I wasn’t hoping we would trade CP3 to the Clippers, but things just added up that way when I looked at the situation objectively, so I confidently predicted it. The same is happening here.
When did he predict CP3 to the clippers?

Probably right about the time it was announced nationally.

I've been saying this for a few weeks. We loved Lillard last year, I dont see how that changes considering the similarities between CJ/Lillard

NBA GM looked at my list of 5 players who could be traded. He gave me 5 more. I'll tweet that list later. (Hint: Eric Gordon, G, Pelicans)
I like CJM a lot too, but if this is true then KCP would be a better pick than McCollum, no?

CJs ability to play both guard positions puts him over the top for me
Unless one of McLemore or Noel fall hes who I want.
