Has there ever been a coach campaigning so hard for a currently unavailable job?

I'm torn. I want Karl here, but that would take another disappointing season. I want a good season from this team.

after watching the ESPN recap, you'd think they won

they only showed Harden and Dwight highlights...and one Jrue play to AD...that's it. fricking terrible. We beat a top 5 team and still have no respect. frick YOU ESPN

Zach Lowe said on last night's Lowe Post, that he'd still vote for AD to be MVP.

i'm still in the camp that the mvp should be on a top seeded team. can a player really be considered the MVP to his team if he can't even get them to the playoffs? if the award was for best player or best individual season (or something to that effect) i'd say he should run away with it. unless he can bring us to the playoffs though he shouldn't really be considered

MVP is the best player in the league 99.9% of the time. LeBron with or without superstars put up better numbers and PER than any other player.

Why not? I mean GS is very loaded with talent and great coaching, Houston has two superstars, and OKC has two superstars as well.

It just so happens the best player is usually on one of the best teams, but this year might not be the case

It really comes down to what you (not you in particular) believe the MVP is. Is it the best player, or is it the player that is most responsible for his team's success?

I agree with this and that is not taking anyway anything from davis because he is playing some of the best basketball out of anyone in the league.

The Pels not making the playoffs doest effect either of these. AD can still be more responsible for his teams success even if his team has less of it than another players team.
