A few months ago there's was not a bit of hope nor direction for this franchise. Trading for Cousins has opened up the door for a future, before we were hoping on AD getting us to the 6th-8th seed and now we are one star away from being a potential contender in the Western Conference. You don't think Dell realizes this? He will get us that final piece whether it be CP3, butler, George or someone else.

Dell will give us that shot, it may not work but he will give us the opportunity and I guarantee it. Trading for Cousins will allow Dell to attract another big time player so the future is very bright. It may not work out in the long run but at least we're gonna have a shot.

Dell hadn't gotten us a second star even though he's throw assets like it was candy.

He lucked into cousins. He won't luck into anybody else. This is your team, holiday Davis and cousins. He needs to show he can build around them or be smart with holiday and flip him for something of use.

He didnt luck into anybody. He made the deal. He didnt have to draft Heild. He couldve drafted Murray and maybe the Kings wouldnt have been interested in him.

That is the very definition of luck unless you think that we drafted Hield all along knowing that Vivek loved him.

I agree. With just AD I have no hope. Now that we traded for Cousins, we at least have a GM that realizes we can succeed with a few more pieces. Whether we keep Jrue, or get anyone else if free agency/trades, we are DEFINITELY going in the right direction.

You can't force a move for a CP3/PG13, you have to be good already, have spare assets and roster flexibility. The goal can't be to land another star. They can't afford any more bad value contracts that you'd have to use assets to move, even if you lose a player like Holiday or Cunningham for nothing. If you trade a pick for a guard that's fine, but you need to be aware of future contract implications. Trading for Lin for 1 year is pointless but so is trading for Lin just to grossly overpay him after 1 year.

We are not going to be getting a 3rd star. People thinking otherwise are going to be disappointed when all we add are role players this offseason.
