An arbitrary time limit isn't a big deal. If he still has pain or swelling, then it's time to panic.

And if I had to bet, he will. This is not a minor injury as we have learned. Hoping for the best but not expecting it.

wow

that's the nail in the coffin for him. The issue isn't going to magically fix itself when January comes around.

I'd rather them be conservative and have a fresh and healthy Jrue for the playoff run. It's not like we're going to miss the playoffs even if Jrue plays 0 minutes.

So how is Jennifer? She still doing ok? Still hurting for a squirting?

The pels are much more likely than not to make the playoffs but to act like they are a shoe in is it a bit far fetched.

1. Rockets suck
2. Dwight is the softest player in the NBA
3. Your post doesn't make sense
4. You're an idiot.

top 6 are teams i'd call shoe ins

HOU
GSW
SAS
LAC
OKC
MEM

Then you've the remainder of teams fighting for 2 spots.

PELS
UTA
DAL
PHO
mabye even LAL

are the teams that will be battling for those spots. So yes Pellies have a good shot, but only the top 6 are shoe ins IMCO. The West this year will be more top heavy than in recent memory.

Pels finish no worse than 5 barring injuries.

You're just being silly. Last time a team went through a season without injuries? There are always injuries brother. Chances are other teams will be more affected by those injuries than the Pels. Just like they were last season. Truth be told a 100% healthy Pels is not a top 5 teams unless more than one of the other teams outta LAC SAS HOU OKC GSW have seriouse injury issues.

I can almost guarantee that he won't be on a minutes restriction in January.

He's either going to reaggravate that ankle and get shut down or he'll be fine and start playing 25-30 a game. I'd tell everyone January because that's the conservative estimate.

You guys realize this was part of the plan all offseason right? There is no new injury. They are just being cautious and gradually increasing his workload to ensure there are no setbacks. If all is good at that point, he will be bumped up to regular minutes. They have been saying all summer his minutes would be carefully managed. If there is another setback, then we can freak out. Til then, chill.

Sure, nothing is guaranteed, but barring SIGNIFICANT injury setbacks, I think Pels would be heavy favorites to finish with a better record than those other teams. Utah is probably closest, but DAL and PHO have serious issues even if they are healthy.

Well then you just took your credibility and shot it in the face and buried it in the back yard.

Is this all tongue in cheek? We knew it was a minute restriction. Finding out the exact amount and the duration is somehow cause for outrage?

Huh.

Yeah, but being this cautious means they feel they have something to fear which isn't exactly a vote of confidence in his recovery. This is just something that we won't have enough information to make a call on until either he goes down again or he makes it to March/April with no set backs.
