unfortunately assets on the court are hard to come by at the moment...

davis
anderson
holiday
asik

thats about it...cunningham is replacement value at best, ajinca/gee/douglas/smith/babbitt all below replacement

this situation is so disheartening as a fan, i cant imagine what the players and staff are going thru

The Ish I saw at the Mavs game was a different Ish than I saw the first time. He used to look afraid to take the shot on his drives - he'd either drive and kick it out or drive and just make a loop under the basket and come back out. Against the Mavs (didn't see last night's game) he was consistently taking the layup or reverse layup when it was there. He was a BIG asset. Made me think that this style of play from him might free up Reke to play small forward if needed when he comes back.

right now, availability and near-competence is an asset...doesnt mean that ish smith is anything other than a fill-in going forward

Think Ajinca is a little better than given credit for, but yes, agreed on all other points. Missed Gordon though--who is an asset, albeit one who is nowhere near a competent primary ball-handler. The shooting is awesome.

right, i forgot gordon
ajinca might be better than replacement but he hasn't really played for whatever reason

i have resolved not to complain or cast aspersions on this team until tyreke gets back. after that, game on if they continue to lose and look bad doing it

I just remember how jaw droppingly bad/irrelevant he was last Friday in the SKC against Atlanta. In fairness, all of our guards looked like shite.

We're top 10 in points scored with ish dominating the ball.

When tyreke and jrue can fully play this offense should be unstoppable.

I love ish and Douglas going forward as backups. After this they will have so much confidence. I think late in the season offensively we could be similar to golden state in the fact that there won't be much drop off in scoring between the 1's and 2's.

No one said this would be easy, but just think of the positives that could come later in the season IF we can get and stay healthy.

And yes I know that will never happen, post irrelevant.

Sorry.

I'll probably complain, but I agree.. can't be making conclusions about a team when 4-5 key players are missing.
