Sorry that I think giving Tyreke Evans a four year $44 million contract is a bad idea. I'm such a "troll" for that

Having a certain belief does not make one a troll, it's what you do with that belief that's important. You can choose to debate in good faith with an open mind and agree to disagree like a gentleman when nothing more is left to be said, or you can be close minded, shrill and emotional and do your damnedest to make sure everyone shares in your misery.

Well that defines about 90% of us on here.

And a message board is a group activity. It works best when we all work together. It's one thing to present a one sided argument with a small sample of cherry picked facts, but it's quite another to just make facts up. Iggy a sharp shooter? Don't act all innocent, you're track record is pretty clear and consistent. There are plenty of reasons to not be happy with Evan's deal, but you are either right for the wrong reasons, or you are terrible at making your points. Either way you're the one that's not playing well with others. You're not the victim, you're the problem.

I wasn't a fan of Evans and signing him, but you don't see me being a little bitch about it now that its over and done with it.

I voice my concerns sometimes, but I really do hope it works out. He had a good night last night, but really, everyone did. I hope he continues to get better.

I'm concerned about Tyreke as well. I think he was brought in partly to move on from Gordon. But with Tyreke's shooting, I'd rather him be the ball dominating 6th man than the starting shooting guard. This 3 guard trio almost has to work out for us to not be screwed for a few years. ESPN's Amin Elhassan was on the BSS podcast a few weeks ago and his response to "Demps is collecting as many assets as he can get and will keep the parts that fit" was "the 2 players you'll want to keep will be the only 2 of the 4 with any trade value" with the 4 players in question being Holiday, Gordon, Evans and Anderson.

So far Evans/Holiday/Gordon are something like -31 in Net Rating in about 30 minutes this season. :(

So far, Gordon is the only one whose play has not hurt his stock. His stock was also at an all time low.

I'm not sure how much Anderson has hurt his value, his current injury isn't something chronic and he may be back by Friday.

Regardless of what ends up being the right or wrong answer regarding Evans (bc your post is very speculative), it doesn't change the fact that posting on a message board "I was right" makes you look like an affirmation-starved douche. I'm not saying that is actually what you are, but that's how you are now perceived.

Again, you might end up being right, I just think there's a better way to convey your thoughts if you truly want a better conversation on the topic.

Absolutely. Anderson is who he is. His Per 36 and advanced numbers are remarkably consistent throughout his career.

You know what you are getting from him. He has the lowest ceiling and the highest floor of all these guys in terms of performance.

Good description. That highest floor part, though, is important. Seriously. He's consistent and was only in trouble last year when he was the only option on the floor.

He's not a creator, but he's a damn good shooter. If we don't try to initiate offense through him, he will be fantastic at what he does.

He puts the ball on the floor pretty well for a 6'10" white guy. I was very impressed with that part of his game last season.
