is tonight a must win? I think a loss here, and the tumble really starts to begin.

feel like this has been said for the last 3-4 games

But yeah, right now, every game is kind of a must win.

Depends.

When someone says a game is a must win, the question you have to ask is what can we realistically achieve right now that we can no longer realistically achieve if we lose this game?

Willie Green thinks this is a must play well.

Yes, because if if we lose tonight. It sets the table to a 1-11 finish to the season and play in, heads rolling, trades demanded, fan interest diminished, etc.

If we lose tonight, this era of Pelicans basketball that looked so promising 2 weeks ago, is over.

I was hoping to split this home stand, so to me it definitely is.

I think we need to win 5 of the next 6, including a win over Phoenix so that Lakers game doesn't have to be meaningful

We realistically can and should begin expecting a play-in berth with a loss tonight.

With a win I still pelieve and expect we get a top 6 seed. Easily >50% odds at least.

So in that regard, agreed. must win

I will bet you any amount of money that we don't finish the season 1-11.

Something tell me you stopped watching basketball two weeks ago considering we don’t have 12 games left lol

Disagree with the last statement.

It's a things will get really tough if we don't win game.

And I don't think must win has to go strictly based being mathematically in or out, it's just not a must win if we can lose then finish up, say, 4-2 and still potentially get a 6 seed.

Admittedly, this is just one of those things I'm a stickler about

Yeah I think people are penciling in losses and assuming we CAN’T win games at all. Like theres this assumption we’ll lose to warriors and lakers. I guess people have forgotten we have beaten both those teams this season. How many of these same people thought we would beat the Bucks without BI?

Next suns game is a must win. (Said that monday of course)
This is a semi-must win.

Suns have a tough end of the schedule at least.

We need to win but it would help if suns and mavs lose a couple too.

If we lose to the Suns and finish with the same record who owns the tiebreaker? Becoming more and more likely scenario

In that scenario suns would sweep us- so the Suns. Technically we have lost the tiebreaker- win/lose next game against Suns doesn’t change that.

It’s not an elimination game, but losing it puts us in a position of playing catch-up to avoiding the playin.

I kind of feel like they need to at least win the next 4-5 games or they are going to the play-in. I feel the Pels will get screwed in the play-in tournament.
