Getting the 8 seed seems extremely unlikely now

We're now laround 5 games back from the 8 seed so unless we get on a freak and Denver / Portland collapses, we're out. Tankkk

Eh, its not all that unlikely. All about sweeping Denver. Of course that is about 15% chance with 2 games at Denver. But they aren't that good. If we start clicking, we might have a chance. We have gotten better every single game.

sucks they lost a winnable game v a conference finals contender. but they played well v a conference finals contender. carry that forward. they've got a year to make the case to Cousins to stay. i saw plenty of good, along with bad. keep getting better.

If they finish 12-8 and only are the 9th or 10th seed and have figured out how to play together, would that not be satisfying enough?
You gave up the 13th pick and a quasi starter for Boogie and now you are gonna upgrade the perimeter in the summer and have a whole summer to install an offense

This season is about the 3 main pieces figuring out how to work together.
We'll have 2-3 new heavy contributing players next year so this year's team doesn't matter otherwise.
Get Jrue/AD/DC working together well.

None of that is cynical conjecture.
OP wants to tank because getting a top 3 pick would be best case scenario.
It's not my opinion that it's feasible, or even the best thing we could do culture wise, but rooting for the best possible outcome isn't crazy.
Point being, there's really no reason to be the guy that insults people just for the hell of it, especially when you actually have good info to contribute.

Only one game away from the 4th spot in the lottery that has nearly 38% chance of finishing top 3. We need to tank these last 20 games to really set up for the future. Shut down boogie and AD

We are 7 point road favorites to cut the lead to 3.5. Lakers are trash right now, but other trash teams don't give 7 points to trash teams on the road. Vegas clearly thinks we are at least decent.
It would be almost impossible to hold off the Sacramento tank. There are a bunch of teams right ahead of us who aren't very good. I just don't see the point in hoping to keep the pick. Our chances at playoffs are at least as good as getting the pick.

Probably pretty good, TBH. Not amazing, but probably a 50 win team or so. I don't believe our team now isn't better than 2 years ago. Our schedule has been very tough since we got Cousins. And we are clearly improving. Schedule will get easier as team gets better.
