I would say much higher with DC. If they wake up one morning and say, "It's time to move him!", then I think NOLA would give them the best offer. Same with Drummond

The proposed trades I have seen is some variation of Hield and our next two firsts.

Pull the trigger as fast as you can.

No clue why SAC would make that deal, pretty terrible for them IMO.

The question would be whether either team would do that. I would think not, but who knows?

My guess is no, but you know the drill with this team -- gotta get people excited first, and THEN disappoint them.

Bullet points

- Sac can offer Boogie the new 35% extension this summer. If they go down this path they are basically committing to Cousins for life because the money will be too big for him to turn down, them to trade him, or build around him.
- Philly/Boston/Denver all have star level centers now and don't need Cousins.

The Lakers are the most formidable trade threat anyone has thought up and some people question how much they'd give for Boogie.

Why would SAC do this now when they know that the Pels pick would just go higher?
Just wait until draft night.

They shouldn't, but if I had to answer --- If they do it now, they guarantee their haul and they likely get to keep their own pick. If they wait until draft night, they probably finished 12th or 13th and had to give their pick to Chicago.

Good point.

What is their pick (top 10 protected)?
If Cousins comes here our pick will most likely be in the high teens anyway.

Why not suck with Cousins and then guarantee two picks in the top 10?

I guess DC won't lose on purpose.

If we get DC and re-sign Holiday, but sacrifice Hield, Diallo and our 2017 and 2019 pick, do you still think this franchise has no shot deep into the playoffs?

The question I have is if somehow this trade happened would the pels have to give DC the dpe to keep him long term or would he settle for the normal max to play with AD and Jrue

You couldn't give it to him anyway per CBA rules. Which is why I wouldn't hold my breath on Cousins demanding the trade to get out
