So what exactly do they have that would make this attractive to us?

This looks like nothing more than blogger speculation anyway.

zero validity to that article; no way Pelicans give up on the Boogie & the Brow experiment after a few games

Says that they could trade Love for Cousins. That would not interest me. If that happened, I would try a 3 way deal to get someone else here.

I've got some pretty reliable sources saying the Pelicans are targeting Blake Griffin, Paul Milsaps, and Lamarcus Aldridge in addition to Kevin Love. How? Well Cousins for K-Love, don't resign Jrue, sign Griffin and Milsaps in FA, then trade 2 future first rounders for Lamarcus.

PG: Anthony Davis
SG: Paul Milsaps
SF: Blake Griffin
PF: Kevin Love
C: Lamarcus Aldridge

Srsly I'm entertaining Kyrie for Cousins and I'm hesitant to do that.

It's strange that people believe that Cousins would have more value than Love. Not only is Love a superior player, but he is also locked down on a contract and isn't a head case. I'd trade Cousins for Love in a second. He'd actually fit better next to Davis as well, cause Davis is a Center. Never going to happen though..

This is one of the hottest takes I've ever seen in my life. In my entire life. I once saw Skip Bayless tweet that Johnny Manziel would make people in Cleveland forget about Lebron, and this is probably a hotter take

Also this is just flat out retarded. Davis hates playing center

But Davis has been very vocal that he does not want to play center. Are you going to somehow force him to do so and keep him happy at the same time?

Please show me anywhere it says that he "hates" playing Center. He said that he prefers playing PF cause it allows him more freedom on the offensive end. But he is a Center. He is a lean, long angular 7 footer that is an accomplished shot blocker. That is the textbook definition of a Center. Nobody else in the league (maybe Whiteside) fits the role as perfectly as him.

Davis wants to win. That is what would make him happy. Putting the best players around him and putting him in the proper role would help that along.

Is "don't like" good enough? From his interview last week on Jimmy Kimmel:

quote:

“According to me, I’m 6-10,” Davis explained. “Before every season, we get measured by our strength coach. When you’re 6-11, I feel like you have to play center. I don’t like playing center. I like to stick to power forward, so (I) round down.”

He's said it repeatedly. I don't remember if this was pre or post Cousins trade, but around the All Star break there was a quote where he said he feels he's a natural PF but he played center this year because that's what's best for the team. He'll do it, but he really doesn't want to.
