Im officially off the gobert wagon. His team in france didn't start him and he apparently can't put the ball on the ground or do anything in the post aside from catching lobs.

sounds like a taller d12 huh! you do understand that all euro players pretty much have to run, dribble & shoot to stand out right? american big men are garbage to euros. including shaq and d12 in their prime. they dont use these type players. thats why the biggest players end up in the nba instead on getting big money to stay there. rudy will be fine in the nba.

His weight is listed at 220

he'll gain weight

D12 is 265 and can average 20+ a night and bang inside. This kid gobert is a huge project

Noel weighed just 206 lbs
Goodness.
He soooo far away from playing center in the league

Locks him in the top 5 imo.

The exact numbers from Ford:

Chad Ford ?@chadfordinsider 1h
Trey Burke. 5'11.75" in socks. 6'1.25" shoes. 6'5.5" wingspan. Good measurement for him.
Those are really good numbers for. Size should no longer be a concern. There are plenty successful 6'1" pgs in the league right now.

He's measurements are very similar to Javale Mcgee's.

If Gobert puts up a good showing tomorrow he'll be top 10.
A level headed Mcgee would be something to see

d12 gained 25-30 pnds since o4' and could't even avg 15+ in his rookie year. his #'s were 12/10/1. orlando obviously saw potential. and he's only 6-10. you don't think rudy can do the same? if he gains good weight, he'll get have potential to be a good one. if he only picks up a few pnds, chandler at best. but hey, a key title piece, def poy and all-def team aint bad either.

sorry if someone already posted these. from the rivals board via the Orlando Magic board:

Nerlens Noel measurements: 6'10" in socks and 6'11.5" in shoes. 7' 3.75" wingspan and a very good 9-2 standing reach.

KU's Ben McLemore was just 6'3.5" in socks and 6'4.75" in shoes. He does, however have a 6'7.75" wingspan.

Trey Burke. 5'11.75" in socks. 6'1.25" shoes. 6'5.5" wingspan. Good measurement for him.

Victor Oladipo was even smaller at 6'3.25" in socks and 6'4.25" in shoes. His wingspan was a very long 6'9.25" however.

Otto Porter was big with a 6'7.5" in socks and 6' 8.5" in shoes measurement . He has a very big 7'1.5" wing.

CJ McCollum 6'2.25" in socks. 6'3.25" shoes. 6'6.25" wing

Shabazz Muhammad was much smaller Measuring 6'4.75" in socks and 6'6.25" in shoes He does have a 6'11" wingspan.

Cody Zeller 6'10.75" in socks and 7'0.25" in shoes. His 6-10.75 wing and 8'10" standing reach is on the small side however.

Rudy Gobert 7'0.5" in socks and 7'2" in shoes with a crazy 7'8.5" wingspan and insane 9'7" standing reach.

Steven Adams. 6'10.75" socks. 7'0" shoes. 7'4.5" wing 9'1.5" standing reach.

Howard was never anywhere near as skinny Noel even in high school.

you're right.

Keep in mind that Gobert is about to turn 21 in a month. He still has a lot of work to do to get weight to the level of McGee.

Noel if he falls or we luck up a get a top 1 or 2 pick

Burke after that, and Porter after that

That 7'1" wingspan on Porter got me going semi-erect, not gonna lie

I think Porter is at the position we most need help at, but we could use an offense first guy like Burke in a huge way

Noels frame doesn't scare you? 206lbs? To be banging down low?

Noel's weight is MAJOR issue. He's basically the same weight as Austin Rivers who got bullied by PGs and SGs.

Its almost impossible to gain weight during the season, so 206 lbs is probably "fat", out of shape Nerlens Noel.

Size down low is overrated these days anyway. The game has been going in another direction in the post as far as banging with 250+ lb guys anyway.

I think he could probably put 20-30 pounds on in a few years anyway.

And he's been in a cast, he probably has lost a good bit of muscle weight in the past few months just sitting around.

206 is small

But like I said, a well conditioned guy lifting everyday and working out everyday can lose a lot of weight FAST going to just sitting on the couch all day everyday after he gets hurt

6-8 months back in a gym working hard and he could get 10-15 pounds back of that in a flash

He looks like has the frame for it
