Ours was dumb in that we acquired name recognition guys on good contracts that can't play well together or overlapped each other.

Games 1 and 2 were a Spurs wins by a combined 52 points and the Game 5 Spurs win was by 28 points.

And it was 2-2 after 4 games in a 7 game series. Game 6 decided in OT. But point margin in 3 games tho!11!!!1!!

Whatever helps you feel better about the Pels. Times are tough right now. You do you, bud

The most depressing thing isn't wasted seasons. Steph Curry didn't hit the playoffs until year 4. Durant year 3. Davis year 3.. Great. Hornets were the #1 pick in the draft for a reason, not expected to set the world on fire. If I told ya year 3 Davis would lead the team to the playoffs, we would take it

No, the depressing thing is the regression of this team with no hope for the future as of now. Teams like GS and OKC were professing every year, getting players that fit their team, and for that, you could take those rough early seasons bc you knew they were going in the right direction. Can't say the same for the Pels

Throw Minnesota in that group with a bright future contrasted to ours.

We not only have to worry about the greats today, but the teams poised to take a leap tomorrow.

You have GS and SA as your tier 1 teams right now and the future looks bright. Then you have us somewhere a few tiers below with little prospect to move up too high. But then you also have a team like Minnesota that did what we should of done and taken a slow, smart and calculated approach to rebuilding that has the potential growth we wish we had.

It may not look it today but Andrew Wiggins, Karl Anthony Towns, Zach Lavine, Ricky Rubio and another lottery pick has some serious potential. Maybe not all together but there is a solid core in there. Give them a Buddy Hield or Kris Dunn type in the draft along with a good coaching upgrade and you could be looking at the next GS/OKC in 2-3 years.

What is it that we have to look forward too? I love AD but he clearly isnt going to single handedly turn this team into a tier 1 Western Conference team like SA or GS. And Demps and CO. still seem to be playing for the playoffs so top 3 seems out of the question unless we get Cavs type luck.

We've obviously had our share of injuries, but some of that is on Gentry as well...not the injuries, but the not playing lineups together.

I posted a pic a while back of how little Gentry used our best LUs, even when they were all healthy and playing.
