This is the third time this year we have given up a 10+ lead in the second half. Also, we have never had a decent 3rd quarter with Monty. Not just this year, but always. I like the guy, but it may be time to go.

How much does coaching really impact NBA teams? I'm wondering because I'm new to the NBA.

it's almost like his halftime talk is counter productive

I'm pretty sure they smoke bowls and fill up on turkey sandwiches during halftime.

I don't think they will give him more than 2 or 3 games when everyone knows there's playoff talent. They can't wait too long.

We can't make layups on a fast break, we can't figure out what a 2 for 1 means at the end of quarters, we don't understand that 1 foot behind our legs is a 3pt line where we can get a extra point for a made shot. For some reason, our go-to offensive play is a Jason Smiht hope and pray jumper.
Tyreke looks like he couldn't give a rats arse what happens on a night to night basis.
Jrue looks more than willing to coast through this season showing no flashes of the guy he was in Philly.
AD looks like a star
Eric Gordon looks great for a quarter then looks like shite the rest if the game.
Our defensive coach can't get anybody other than Austin Rivers and Davis to guard somebody. People run down the lane untouched. Players aren't playing hard for Monty. Get rid of him, because we can't get rid of these players.

I would like to know what goes on at halftime, no way in hell is he making adjustments and the players look like they lose all their energy.
If Monty does get fired in the near future don't expect anything big to happen until the offseason. They most likely would just put Dave Hanners as the interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Pains me to say it but I am also hopping off.

I'm convinced the pelicans are tanking this year. I am not sure how you can give up large leads this many times unless you're tanking. Utah just got their first win. Evans looked good, holiday looked good, davis looked great. Defense made me want to puke. I had faith in monty for a long time, it's running dry. I feel bad firing him though, maybe we can just keep him as the water boy.

I don't think this is an accurate statement. You don't Mike Brown your coach and not find a replacement for him.

Throw in some brews and that sounds like my halftime

At least I got a laugh out of tonight.

If we make the switch like now, we have a shot of getting a legit coach. The longer we wait, the more likely it'll be an interim assistant.

Has Monty been fired yet? Someone get me an update

I remember when they were searching for coaches in the summer of '10. It was down to monty, tom thibodeau, and Avery Johnson. If it weren't for Chicago offering thibodeau the job, we would have him.

Macmillan, Sloan, Karl, cassell, Memphis coach, Avery j too. Somebody to get these guys fired up and kill the 3rd qtr curse.

Glad I was working. What the frick happened?
Posted on 11/13/13 at 10:50 pm to slutiger5
I know Phil Jackson would probably not want to take the job, but why not give it a shot. He would have the opportunity to mold Davis into an even better player. Plus, he would install a better offense.

Dude , Phil Jackson isn't coming here.
