Buddy Hield potential

How can he already have reached his potential when he up his scoring by 8 points per game from 21 to 22 years old? Is 22 to 23 really that different? Look at Damian Lillard, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson. They were all older when they came into the league and CONTINUE to do nothing but improve.

Lillard and Dray are doing what they did in college in the NBA. So if you're going by that standard you would have to hope he becomes an elite scorer not a playmaker and ball handler. Those 2 guys skill set didn't change too much just improved on what they did. So my hope if we did pick him to become a 22+ scorer and a good defender.

So averaging 24 points at weber and coming into the NBA and averaging 25 points is the same thing? Bruh.........

Hield averaged 25 points in the big leagues of college basketball. He has one of the best work ethics I've ever seen. He'll be just find

What are you talking about?

Honestly that work ethic shite is annoying tons of players have great work ethic. People are act as if he's the only play that works hard to improve his game.

What is going on in here?

Who do you want to draft?
Posted on 6/4/16 at 5:30 pm to TerranceBrody
Jodie Meeks averaged 24 his junior year and is a 10 ppg player in the NBA, when he has a job
But that has zero correlation just like your examples
Hield could be good or average, the guys who came before him are irrelevant

Wait what will he find?

EXACTLY! I am saying that age has ABSOLUETLY NOTHING to do with how much a person can improve.

His potential is the question. Not every player reaches it. If Hield reaches his he will be a 24/3/2 guy.

Bra you should do stand-up

Age does have a little something to do with potential and as the other guy stated, how well is heild going to do in things other than shooting? I like Dunn, who is the same age because he is much more versatile and has the potential to be a all around player. I also like Murray because he basically just as good of a shooter and a better athlete.

rivers had a "good work ethic" coming out of college, but he never improves nor do we ever see or hear about him trying to fix his deficiencies when it is obvious.
You heard it with EG, Tyreke, AD, and Ryno...that they work hard in the offseason and they improved at their weakest point or improved in an area to help the team.
EG and Tyreke with shooting
AD with defense and 3pt'ers
Ryno with his offensive repertoire
So yes, work ethic does matter if this is a guy who actually works hard at his deficiencies and not just talks about it.

Did you watch Hield play? I just watched him and get that feeling that this kid is gonna do big things. He was clutch, won so many games on his own. I did get that feeling for the other two honestly, just not nearly as much as it did for Hield. Dunn's shooting form scares me cause it's a lot like Tyreke's. Murray's athleticism scares me.

You're right he's and can't miss guy. No one should go aginst your feeling.

In my opinion, he is a can't miss guy. If I were the sixers, I would take him number 1 overall without looking back. I'm very excited that I think we could possibly get the draft's best player with the sixth pick. I asked what your opinion was and you never gave it to me.

Pretty big statement buddy

I'd argue that the same people saying Buddy is too old, have no idea what that means in basketball. It's not about how old his knees are. I'd argue that Buddy's late start to basketball, and very late start to American coaching has him closer to the basketball developmental age of the 19 year olds. Yet his dominance and success at every level so far, shows me he has not reached his ceiling. He's still working hard and it is coming easy for him... For those reasons, I'd love to have him. For those reasons, we'd be lucky to have him. For those reasons, he might be gone before #6.
