Doing it now would just screw him up even more.

I could honestly see it going either way. Can his shooting really get much worse?

It's clear the scouting report is out on rivers. All the teams are doubling him far away and he's crumbling under pressure.

in 30 minutes off the bench, Rivers gets 15 points off 7-of-13 shooting (1-2 from 3), 3 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block

Second half he stepped up.

First half he looked lost like usual.

Remains to be seen if the second half was an anomaly or a sign of what's to come.

well what it shows is a flash. and that's what i like to see. he's definitely capable of being a good player. if he can just be consistent enough to be a legit 6th or 7th man and maybe work his way into the starting lineup in a few years, then i'd be happy with that

Rivers definitely needed a game like that. I think he was a few more 0-5 games away from the front office finding a FA SG to play 10 minutes a game and sending him to the d-league.

even if he follows this game or even that half with a shitty performance, that's not what matters. this is showing what he CAN be. the potential is there. he will have on and off nights. but if he keeps taking shots and getting his confidence there, the shots will start to fall. i love that his teammates and the coaching staff are pushing him to keep shooting

Or shoot free throws. Or jump shots. Or rebound. Or pass. Or guard anyone.

But other than that he's been great.

Rivers has done a fine job guarding Kobe. He hasn't even been taking jump shots this game. He's passed fine outside of 1 play.

I think once he learns to go and finish with his left it will be hard for others to guard him one on one and that will open passing lanes up. He's got pretty good ball handling skills and he's a hard worker from what they say so I think he'll improve and be alright.

But he HAS to work on his free throws ALOT!
Somebody told me on here that he is like 1% higher than shaq at the line
