Of course people assume you are a fan of those teams...because you should be.

I'm sorry, but no one is entitled to root for local teams because they live there. Try saying that to the faces of transplants living in places like Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami etc.

Nobody is calling AZ contenders except for maybe a few fans in the Phoenix area. It's a similar situation to the Hornets in '08.

And this is why you aren't a fan of them yet, right? Gotta get that franchise QB so that they will be contenders before you jump on the bandwagon.

Let's not even mention how you'll be jumping from your favorite team of the past 2 seasons to a DIVISION RIVAL.

I didn't say you MUST.

But you should. Those are different things. Local teams provide massive revenue to a city. Civic pride. Exposure. Local teams are vital to a city's well being and economy.

If you are a transplant, that is entirely different story. If I moved to Miami, I wouldn't be a Dolphins fan.

But if I was raised in NOLA, and my parents were...to be a fan of another team is kind of pathetic.

Division rivals don't mean much to me. I'm not a fan of any team for long enough to develop a hatred for any one opponent.

So when Howard and Harden get swept the next 2-3 years in the first round, who is next?

I'm gonna say...Portland? Golden State?

It's the definition of frontrunning. The team doesn't have to 'contend' in order for you to be a bandwagoner.

No, in the context of what he is talking about it is completely right. He wants them to grab a franchise QB so they can potentially make playoff pushes and jump on the Arizona bandwagon during that process.

Houston has always been my team and always will be. The ownership and management has always put a team of guys on the court that I can't help but cheer for. I couldn't pull for another team if I tried.

Since wind does competent and franchise mean the same thing? Freaking McCown was competent last year but by no means was he a franchise QB. I guess twisting my words makes you feel better...

As teams rosters/coaches change, so does the personality of the team. As mentioned I like in your face, intimidating, playmkaing defenses.

was talking football specifically, but yea having a 3 time DPOY anchoring the paint is at least a little intimidating to the opposition.

You don't get it do you?

A) Arizona had a competent defense last year despite their offense. This should be in your favor as you get to see more PP21 and Badger playing. Same goes with Minter as he develops.

B) If he was "competent" last year and that's what you desire, than you should have been watching Zona games. It's obvious you didn't.
