He has improved, but I'm pretty sure we can do better with the money.

All I see is fastbreak bazookas off glass for turnovers, a shitload of airballs, and some below average defense.

But yea, his ball-handling has been ok. Doesn't mean he's worth a roster spot, or ever will be though

Well I mean Fredette and Salmons are being paid to be on this team.

I would be ok with them giving him a small contract.

He is finishing at a much better rate, he is actually hitting FTs, and he has developed an adequate 3.

Rivers has improved, and call me crazy, but I would rather have him start at the 2 and move Tyreke for much needed bench guys. At least AR passes the damn ball
And doesn't go all rekasaurus when eleventy guys are waiting for him in the paint.

This team should run through AD, and rivers has bought into that. Is he worth a big contract? Hell no, but he is worth a bit more than we are paying Salmons. He is improving and now looks
Like an NBA player. It would suck to invest the time in a guy only to see him give another team valuable minutes the next few seasons.

Let it be known that he was statisticly one of the worst players in the national basketball association

As one of the youngest players iin the NBA. That's a pretty big detail btw.

He's worth bringing back because he has literally gotten better every year. He can finish with contact, gets to the rack, and his defense actually is good. Totally worth reinvesting in.

Well he was a rookie. Rookies are young. But he's not even close to being the youngest in his draft class.

"literally gotten better", meaning he now shoots 40% from the field instead of 37%

His per 36 numbers are nearly identical his first 3 seasons. The only legit improvement he has made statistically is FT%

His skill set overlaps with 3 other guys on our team who all happen to be better than him. Id rather invest money in a guy with plus NBA skill, whether it be a shooter, passer, defender etc

It's his third season. I think we expect too much from these kids sometimes. Look at a guy like Green in San Antonio. He didn't get real PT until his third year when he was 24. Now he's a solid role player. That's all I think Rivers will be. You may not like that he was drafted so early, but better to develop a solid bench/situational guy than cut him lose. (Depending on salary demands of course.)

1 year at 2.5mil or so wouldn't be bad, unless the Pels make a trade and pick up a bench SG.

Yea, that below average defense was on display when he helped us pull away with a great steal and finish on the other end last night, idiot

Our fans are obsessed with guards who cannot make a shot outside of the lane.

33% on any shot that's not a dunk or layup. Those Xs tho

We're often biased towards our own players. If Rivers was on another team and we signed him, the reaction would probably be similar to the reaction when we signed Jimmer.
