The big market lakers/Knicks advantage is so overplayed now. It still exists, but not nearly as much as the media would have you believe. When 8 games a week are on national TV, league pass is more prevalent than ever, game highlights are on reddit and YouTube within hours, the basketball Twitter community is huge, big stars like Davis, Lebron, and Durant can get endorsements for days in "small markets"
